Because Shiny Mews aren't legit, the only place you can get them is Japan. Bank auto notices that you have it outside of a certain region and blocks it's access.

Not that anon, but the only legit post-reboot source of Blueberry Mew (top kek) is Faraway Island. Besides Mew glitch, this is the only place with wild Mew, and as such, the only one that isn't Shiny-locked.
And unless you were around in the country of chimicherrychanga to get the old sea map, then you're out of luck.granted, it is possible to get a Shiny Mew in G2 games if the IVs are correct. now what about the VC console and bank transfer, idk.

You can only get a Mew from Faraway Island and the only place to get them Shiny, which was exclusive to the Moon.
Don't know how it'll work with Bank if you have the right IVs from R/B/Y, but knowing Bank they'll block it because Mew is a speshul japanese snowflaek.

In gen2, shininess is determined by IVs. Event Mew back then had specific IVs to make them not-shiny on purpose.
Sending a Mew with shiny-able IVs to Bank will most likely not be allowed.

The pokemon you encounter from the mew glitch is based on the SPE stat and the attack STAGE of the last Pokemon you encountered. Spe determines species, and attack stage determines level.
Normal attack stage is 7 (1.0x), growling 6 times lowers it to 1 (.125?). Level 1 pokemon can't exist in Gen I because of the xp curve so they have -1 xp, gaining xp causes this value to overflow to the maximum if they have the slow-medium xp scale.

What other glitches should I be aware of? Is there an efficient item duplication glitch? I'm on Pokemon Yellow, by the way - I understand things might be different.
