He only refuses to leak new info before other people because of the gen 5 fiasco, he doesn't lie about having known it beforehand becaue you can't sue someone for knowledge. If his super seekrit sauces didn't tell him that SM were gen 7 there's no way he or anyone who works for him knows anything yet.

Mega Evolution still around? Given the fact that Slowking, Butterfree, and Froslass as left without Mega Evolutions in Gen 6, I assume they'll get some in Gen 7.

What do the startes look like ? With X/Y, them plus Xerneas and Yveltal were the first things revealed, so you'd have seen or heard about them.

I'm assuming >>25359166 is referring to how Serebii apparently pirated Black and White. Japanese copies of Black and White came with anti-piracy measures; if you played a pirated copy, EXP was disabled (so you could never level up).
I didn't hear of it myself, but Serebii apparently said that the first battles against Cheren and Bianca were practice battles that award no EXP, accidentally revealing the fact that he was playing a pirated copy.
