I'm not sure. I don't think xyoras would even need to be updated. It's the bank app that would be doing the conversion. It would just have to make the Pokemon compatible. Unless they want to make the Pokemon marked as being from the distant past or something.

They could be changing the entire Pokemon data structure. Like maybe removing IVs or something so no matter what you bring over it will all be the same.
Otherwise, ORASXY doesn't have data for "Caught in Gameboy Kanto/Jhoto" or any rewards for doing so. Since it's a paid product to transfer over Pokemon, they probably want some sort of reward for the legit players that won't hack something in.
