You might as well just poach them all in AS since it seems for many of the legendaries they'll give away will only work correctly on ORAS and not XY. Like you can only teach certain moves in ORAS to certain mons like Meloetta and Keldeo.

Japan has an event for buying either RBY for a free mew digital code. I happen to have a Japanese 3ds (for dragon warrior monsters). If I purchase a digital copy of RBY for my japanese 3ds, would I be able to redeem the mew code on my american 3ds so that I could have the level 5 mew in my north american 3ds?
