Personality and design-wise they were kid of forgettable. Flint was the only one that stood out to me.
As for teams they are easily the best, speaking of the Platinum teams of course. None repeating pokémon or NFE's like in previous generations and none of the maximum 4 pokémon from later generations bullshit. And then add in some decent movepools to top it off.
