Here at ggvp, we post fan art of gardevoir.
Been told that my blue board warning is lame, so just going to say post what you want, but don't complain when mods delete because vp is a SFW board.
Do post if you have a request for OC gardevoir pictures, friendly gardevoir artists might post a picture of your request so it is always fun.
God fucking damn it, what's with all the people obsessed with Gardevoir? When I was in college, I had a roommate. Dude was fat, smelly, and obsessed with Gardevoir. He had Gardevoir t-shirts, Gardevoir posters, a Gardevoir plushie, and, I swear to God, he had a Gardevoir body pillow. Every fucking conversation we had, he turned it into a Gardervoir conversation. I wanted to punch him so bad, but I couldn't. I have anger issues, and fucking up just once could get me out of college. But honestly, sometimes I thought I'd gladly pay that price for punching that fat motherfucker in the face. I kept finding Gardevoir pictures EVERYWHERE. Some of them were covered in dry cum. Every night I heard him jerking off, and no matter how many times I asked him to stop - he did it anyway.
One time he said to me: "Hey Anon, we are having Pokémon night this Friday, are you cool with that?" I had an all night LAN party that Friday, so I allowed that, but only if his buddies wouldn't touch any of my stuff. At all.
Long story short - LAN party got cancelled, and I had to go back to my room. What I saw could not be described. Four pasty fat nerds, watching the Pokémon anime, eating Cheetos, and covering everything with orange dust. One of those fat fucks wore a fucking Gardevoir suit and another one was smoking. And they were sitting on my bed. That's right, those fuckers were sitting on my fucking bed, covering it in Cheetos dust, cigarette ash and sweat. They didn't notice me, because they were too busy watching the anime. I was about to scream bloody murder and punch them, when Gardevoir appeared on the screen. All four pulled their dicks out in one synchronised motion and started to masturbate. I wish I was making this up. Even today it comes back to haunt me in my dreams.
I gave my roomate a concussion, knocked a few teeth out of the others, and shattered suit guy's kneecap. Got into serious trouble, but my lawyer pulled my ass out of the fire. I fucking hate Gardevoir.

>inb4 tailsposter thinks this threads is violating the rules because no bump limit
I see somebody's still butthurt about him spamming the Pokeboy Tournament thread...
The only reason why he did that on the first place is that NEITHER limit (bump or image) had been reached when the OP decided to make a new thread.

I can't imagine this going too well, but SMD's tablet is busted, and I honestly need to practice my art, so I guess I'll try and do a request or two.
I probably won't be able to start until tomorrow though.
>>24811854
Keep up the good work.
Know that it does not go unappreciated.
>tfw I'll never draw as well as Pero
>>24811874
Pero has some kind of artistic skill, although he really could refine his pictures a bit more, they always look so smudgy and fuzzy.
I really don't like his content anyway though.
>>24811889
I kinda like his style. It's distinct and recognizable. It has that retro-sketch-master feel to it that I just love. Plus his lewds are top-notch.
>>24811936
He most certainly has a style, but I don't really think I like it.
It just seems a bit too messy and unclean.
That, and the style is kinda creepy, especially when paired up with how a lot of his content is creepy, off putting and sometimes down right disturbing.
Case and point: that entire submission your picture is from.
Even most of his NSFW content involves an old and creepy looking male, and more often than not, looks like rape.
It's just not my thing. It's closer to being the exact polar opposite of "my thing".
I only have this one picture saved from him, and even then, his style still makes it look off putting.
>>24812018
I can understand your reasoning.
I never liked lumpy old men myself.
However, I have a profound appreciation for creepy, unsettling, and uncanny-valley things.
I'm probably a little strange.

reminder all silk is organic
>>24811874
>>24811936
These look really awesome as such thumbnails - it really invites to look at them closer.
And this is where a problem strikes - closeups reveal wobbly, chaotic mess of lines.
Forgive me if the question is rather strange, but why is gardevoir so popular among fans? Battle wise aside, I mean (mine is named Athena, I love her black dress when she mega evolves and is such a good combo for matches), I though lopunny would be more popular in terms of aesthetic.
Is it because gardevoir is more elegant, looks more human, or is it because of the potential room for lewds it has??
>>24813064
Well I guess the appeal varies from person to person.
For me, the appeal started with the porn, and developed backwards.
At first I started developing a personal preference for Gardevoir porn over other mons, which refined more and more into a specific attraction to Gardevoir.
After a while I started to find the canon design really cute and taking a liking to SFW art, and eventually that ended up in me becoming a waifufag for Gardevoir.
Or are you asking why Gardevoir is so popular in general? That's a bit easier to answer.
Gardevoir's design is very human-like and somewhat feminine, so lots of artists found it attractive and drew tons of porn of it.
It also means that it's an 'entry tier' design. People who might normally think masturbating to Pokemon is weird could still be attracted to it's human-like design.
Outside of porn though, it's design is also pretty cute, so quite a few people also draw SFW art of it too.
Couple that last fact with it's Dex entries describing it as a very loving and caring mon, it became a popular choice for a waifu.
And to top it all off, as you said, Gardevoir is pretty good at battling in the games, especially in Gen 6.
>>24813064
It's different for us all at the start, but we all end up in the same place. For me, It started in sapphire and gt a bit more apparent after I got a shiny Ralts in Heartgold... Then gen 6 happened and it blew up to porn, doing projects with other fans and of course collecting art. I also have a few figures and plush toys.
>>24813340
That picture reminded me that as of the ORAS retconn, there are no NPC owned male Gardevoir, all else are set female or randomly generated.
>>24813369
But even as of now, post-retcon, players can still own one and it is referenced in spin-offs.
This was the only chance in the world for muh-fem-only-Gardevoir people and it gave them nothing. Their biggest victory is also their ultimate failure.
*and it looks like post-Goodra filter is still in effect.
>>24813389
I'm fine with male Gardevoir, do you have any idea how hard breeding would be without them? It's just that it looks like GF is catering to those kinds of people, just look at the mega.
>>24813389
Because the nature of these games; Player gender, actions and owned Pokemon have no bearing on the overall canon, barring Red because the Origins anime is how the game story should have went. The only canon things are constants between every player's experience, then that is superseded by a player of a 3rd version's constants if there is one. It is possible, but there are none in existence at the moment.
>>24813404
Most of the popular Megas followed this route, Gallade included.
There IS a reason as to why mega Lucario looks like an original character donut steel from deviantART.
>>24813435
How dare you even suggest Mega Gardy is deviant art tier! It's a simple and nice design and looks like a proper progression. umm... faggot.
>>24813452
That wasn't what I was implying.
Forgot to clarify. If you ever went to dA and saw what most of Lucario art looks like, then it could occur to you that perhaps GF wanted to play Lucario redesign to match their taste and artistic preferences.
Pic very much related.
Gardevoir fanbase never sought to see their favourite to be reborn as a speshul snowflake and GF honored that with a nice, simple design of the mega.

>>24815102
imo the combination of thin and thick strokes here make the image too busy, and the thick blotches of pure black seem a little heavy-handed. Additionally, the artist put way more effort into the background than the subject. It is a skilled piece, don't get me wrong. But I wouldn't call it "outstanding".

Reminder that Gardevoir in the canon never smile or show significant affection for their trainer. They have a blank emotionless look on their face 24/7. Furthermore their heads are extremely large and almost all of the pictures in these threads have been anthropomorphised to a large degree, for example making the face more human-like, and few are representative of canon Gardevoir.

gorgeous is a measure of beauty. cute is a measure of moe.

Easily fixed by scaling the bones.
Just remember that every bone under it in the hierarchy scales with it, so make sure you scale back everything you unintentionally squashed/stretched.

>>24817809
Me, of course.

I've been wondering about one phenomenon for some time now,
Ever since gen6 started, there has been an ever increasing hispanic fandom for Gallade and his mega, complete with in-depth analysis on a level that easily rivals Smogon with its autism. Most of it takes place within social networking sites (which by itself isn't weird, considering that places like /vp/ or GameFAQs became virtually Galladefrei following the mega related banter)
Is there a reason for this shift?

>a few generals
A constant thread up isn't "a few", and having threads up consistently will drain the threads of any content that could be posted really fast.
If there was no OC, they would die off stupidly fast.
That is why thread moderation is and was the solution.
>a bit of etiquette
Do you really think killing off the type of thread you is etiquette?
Not only that, but the people who post in these threads have previously shown the self moderation to actually pull off weekly threads!
How is a constant general that drains any interest in these threads BETTER than a moderated schedule that is good for the longevity of the threads?
>occasional threads wrecked by infighting and trolls
The occasional threads we used to have were filled with no more trolls than these generals have been.
If anything, the spam of generals has only brought on more shitposting and trolls.
People care less about ruining Gardevoir threads when there are less Gardevoir threads.
>90% of /vp/ are maymay/shitpost threads anyway
I agree with you, it's not like this board will be any worse by having a Gardevoir general.
The problem is that the over saturation of the threads will directly harm the Gardevoir threads themselves.
There will be no art to post, nothing to discuss, and no OC to keep them alive.
They will die quickly after posting, and anyone who enjoyed these threads will get bored of them and leave.
You'll be left alone trying to make a dead thread no one will post in.
I said it before and I'll say it again, if it wasn't for SMD coming here and doing OC, these threads would have burnt out.
If you truly like Gardevoir threads, and want to keep having them on this board, why do you insist on running them into the ground?
Do you really think, despite every flaw I've pointed out now and previously, that this general is a good idea?

Oh ok, I am at work atm anyway, but thanks for letting me know

>People care less about ruining Gardevoir threads when there are less Gardevoir threads.
Actually, this only encourages them, as they are well aware that their damage will hurt more and last longer.
>>24832105
...I guess?
I understand what you're saying, but from all the threads I've been it, that's never been the case.
There has always been trolls and shitposting, but for as long as I've been here, it's followed this pattern:
If the threads are less frequent and more spaced out, less people try to ruin the threads.
If the threads happen frequently or are spammed, lots of people get upset and try to ruin them.
>>24832149
Maybe you are right. But back then there was this recurring "FALSEFLAG ALERT!" shitstorm that stemmed from the fact that from time to time trolls would wait for that one day per week/month and quickly made a thread to try and run it into the ground.
Several threads turned out to be hijacked in this manner and attempting to make a new one after the drama and shitposing maxed out the hijacked one has been met with heavy disapproval.
Maybe /vp/ has matured somewhat and having fewer threads would really help. But I have little faith in /vp/, to be honest.

I'm not just talking about the weekly threads, I'm talking about even before then, when the threads had no schedule.
There was a time before the falseflag spam, and there was a time before the weekly thread schedule made to stop the spam.
And it was still a pretty nice time. People spaced threads out reasonably nice, and they rarely got ruined by other people.
Sure, there would always be one or two posts, but that's to be expected.
You seem to be so fixated on the time the threads were mass spammed, but that was just one time. The threads were fine both before and after that single event.
Any votes for image of new /ggvp/ when this one hits bump limit? :)
