I acknowledge mobile's power in the market, as do game corporations, but all of /v/'s woes over current gaming is due to mobile. That's what makes console wars laughable. my one dream for this game is they establish regional gym leaders and elite 4 members out of the player base
and as a leader you are responsible for having a certain number of battles per day.
it's a good idea because its basically tricking the players into creating new content for free, since there will always be new gym leaders to challenge.
I also wish for this to happen because I have no problem stomping the shit out of little kids with my pokemon

I know they're (Niantic) trying to make this "the next big thing", but I'm still very cautiously optimistic about whether it's going to have a great main game-like battle gameplay and depth to it.
I'm ready to devote most of my life for this thing, but only if it's in the main series tier of a gameplay and seriousness to it.
I guess what I'm most afraid is that it'll end up into some sort of casual freemium model game where you just tap your screen every once in a while when you come into contact with GPS adjusted Pokemon.
