Never played SMT or DQM. Favorite DQ monster though is probably Fencing Fox or Funghoul or something.

I'm a huge SMT and Pokemon fan(fuck Persona, by the way), so those came pretty easily to me. Medabots, Dragon Quest, and Digimon were things that I had only gotten into for short periods of time and I've never played Monster Rancher, so I actually had to look up the monsters for that.
Unfortunately, I had never played a DQM, SMT, Monster Rancher, or mainline Digimon game. Any recs?

Pokemonish in a way.
You have to dig for the dinosaur bones .
Then excavate them out of the rock.
The cleaner and less damaged they are the more powerful the dinos will be.
Each bone you find for that dino also makes them stronger and gives them a new move. There are 4 fossils per dino. Head, body, arms, and legs.
Each have a niche like all out attacker or support with abilities and elements.
And the battles are triple battles.
