Although Talonflame would die from recoil, it still can OHKO MegaGross. Note that Talon is actually faster than MegaGross, so if it's not already on the field, it can switch in, take a hit, and get rid of MegaGross.
The problem with Lucario is that it's disgustingly powerful with both special attacks or physical attacks. And it has +2 set up moves for BOTH so by the time you figure out which it is it may already be too late. Metagross doesn't have the same sheer power and unpredictability M-Lucario does and once you scout out some of its moves, it's fairly it's counterable.
