Pretty much. Gray/Grey was supposedly a new character in B2/W2 that was essentially a Pokémon Universe version of Light Yagami. There were some fake leakers that included him in their info, but what was able to make it somewhat convincing was the out-of-context posting of this song, claimed to be his battle theme:

The posted version was even pitched up slightly to make it harder to trace back to this video, so when peoples' initial searches came up with nothing, they assumed it was a real leak.
