Jolteon. It is clearly an UU mons but in usage is a RU. Usage-based tiers is shit.
just use him in doubles, pair him with something bulky that has follow me. keep the heat off him and have him wreck shit up
stop using smogon sets, if using a pokemon isn't straight forward they would rather declare it useless over trying to figure out what its niche exactly is
and I understand the tiers are usage based but that goes to show how uncreative the user base is.

You really don't know what you're talking about. Jolteon is unranked in UU and with the addition of Manetric in RU, there are lsss reasons to use Jolteon over it. It should drop to NU soon but probably won't.

Jolteon is the same Pokemon that has been OU for 5 Generations. The only thing that has changed was a Pokemon with a better ability, slightly more speed, and more SpA (Mega Manectric)

It walls so much shit in higher tiers and has amazing bulk. I've also been having to dig up a lot of NUs and RUs to try to find a fast special attacker that fits with my team when I'm not using Mega Manectric. Stuff like Jolteon, Froslass etc.
My problem is always with the 6th mon. Right now I'm looking for a Flying or Levitating fast special attacker with Grass and Fire coverage, anyone know of one?

Yeah, I know, only if you want to sacrifice bulk and movepool for going full sanic speed in the Raikou case which I see as the closest rival. Maybe with the speed creep it will become usable once again, who knows.

Manectric just seems far more useful in the current RU meta to be honest. Look at the tier. It's a bunch of usually slow bulky attackers. Manectric has more phys bulk thanks to Intimidate and has a better damage output thanks to a slightly better movepool. Maybe some people will use like to use Jolteon's faster pivot and better speed tier along with Wish, but we'll have to see.
I think what's funnier is that if you hop over to the RU Viability Rankings right now you'll see Charizard being discussed, and it looks like it'll be near unranked, meaning it'll probably drop to NU. M-muh favorite fire dragon

Manectric doesn't get Intimidate, only its meg does. Jolteon is actually bulkier on the special side but yeah theres no reason to use Jolteon over Manectric in RU right now. Manectric has better coverage and ability. Jolteon only should be used if you really want a dedicated electric type specs user and/or baton pass. Manectric also even have switcheroo so it can pull off choice sets better.
