I know it's a kid show but they really need to water down the "Friendship" theme in the show and implement more bad ass scenes .
No. I liked it better when it was just some kids travelling while collecting badges/ribbons. I never asked for full-blown shippingshit all over the place and arcs spawning dozens of episodes dedicated to villainous teams, in what seems to be a shallow attempt to make a kids show appear more "mature".

I'm not a genwunner by any stretch (Gen 4 being my favourite), but if you seriously think that this budgetless piece of trash is a passable show in any sense other than to be a marketing machine to make money of dumb 6 year olds you're pretty stupid. The plot is lazy, the animation is lazy the English dub is disgustingly awful (at least the jpvas respect their characters) and it all comes together to create a terrible package.
At the risk of you calling me a genwunner again, Pokemon Origins is the direction that the anime should take rather than this meaningless pile we currently have. Origins had solid animation, nothing amazing but it did its job to make the show exciting. It had decent characters that had real motivations that changed with time while also being kid friendly and the plot (even though it was basically lifted from the vidya) was pretty neat.
Also I don't give two shits about what you do outside of this board. You should know everything here is hyperbolic.
