How'd you react if Delta Species were introduced in Gen 7?
Mono-type Pokemon have the rare chance being found with an additional type.

Not if they pull another Gen 6 and drastically alter the filetypes for Pokemon (which would probably happen anyways if they introduced Deltas to the game).

Would be glorious. Really. Really. Glorious. Steel blastoise? Count me in! However, the tcg delta species distribution was kinda wierd. EG: Steel thunder dragonite. Or water/steel and mono fire rayquaza. Or water steel azumaril. Not to mention dark steel cradily and fighting steel armaldo.
Cool ideas like a psychic ninetails, fire arbok, steel zangoose, steel starmiel or my personal favorites fire mankey and fighting electabuzz would be more than welcome, and if they limit the possibility of delta species to mono type pokemon, I would be really happy. The tcg also had the habit of slapping steal on something and calling it a day.

I've thought Delta Species in the video games would be cool before, but they'd have to do something like give a Pokémon an extra effect when it's sent out, I don't want to have to fight Gyarados not knowing if it's Dragon type or not.

While it sounds fun in theory, It would remove the unique typing of many existing Pokémon.
Also, if they want a change of typing in a old mon they could just reflect it in a Mega Evolution (like M-Sceptile being Grass/Dragon, for example).

Type is one of if not the most important distinguishing characteristics a pokemon has. If you're going to change something so drastic so willy-nilly you might as well just make a new pokemon.

Each Pokemon should have only one extra type it can be paired with. Like Blastoise can be water/steel, but not water/anything else.
