Gen 7/next mainline game horror predictions.
Rather than your traditional remake/new gen, Game Freak announces thatthey won't be making any new gens for the next six years, instead producing one new game every year, using the XY engine and features, that follows all of Ash's travels, one region each game, with the only Pokemon usable are the ones he caught/evolved
I wouldn't be surprised if people actually want this to happen, but let it be known that you have shit taste.
A more realistic horror would be that they handhold you even further in a gen 7 game with little to no new Pokemon.

I think you've found the single worst possible scenario for Pokemon's future. This would definitely make me drop this franchise like molten lead once and for all. I foresee Z following the trend set by both gen 6 games (excessive handholding, utter lack of postgame) rather than the trend set by third versions/sequels fixing their respective games

Literally all the first four gens have regions based on Japan. We didn't get the "region not based on Japan" thing in a mainline until Gen 5.

Well, Hoenn may have been based off of an archipelago that's part of Japan but it was more a tropical place than Japan, compared to Kanto, Johto, and Sinnoh, that were literally Japan, albeit a few differences.
