I don't like the current 'fusion' stuff that pokemon fans do, but I do think that there is room for a few pokemon hybrids. The concept behind each pokemon would have to make sense, and instead of making them literal fusions, they'd be more of their own pokemon. They'd just have to be careful and limit it to a few pokemon that create these new pokemon, rather than endless combination shit. It'd be toned down and reasonable.

Im sure we'll get more but the problem is, there's only a few viable type combos.
for instance, a Fighting/Ground would be cool but then its x4 on anything thats Rock and how does that work on something like TTar that takes X4 from one and x2 from ground?
Such a situation is literally impossible with Flying Press as the only type combos (Fighting/Grass/Bug, Rock/Steel/Dark) that can produce a x4 to one or the other takes neutral or resisted damage from the other (Fighting and grass neutral to fight, Dark neutral to fighting. rest resist)
And then there's the case of Immunities. Again, Flying Press itself is a Fighting move, meaning the main portion wont work on ghosts. But what if you have a Water/Fire move and use it on a Flash fire mon... ? Or Flying/Dragon and use it on a Fairy, etc.
No more furbaits.

Retaking the concept of Gastrodon (regional differences) with only 1 or 2 old pokemon.
For example, a Lapras that only lives in tropical waters and never travel to the poles.
I know this is silly, but I like the idea of a living island in the sea.
