Steel is OP, let's gonna fix it:
>Electric: super-effective, cause steel conducts electricity (also magnetism and that shit)
>Dragon: Normal damage
>Steel: Normal damage
>Psychic: Super effective, cause phichics bends spoons and other metal objects as training
>Acid attack is super.effective in it
>>24936279
>>24936285
>Psychic
>Can't outsmart steel
kek'd
>>24936285
That's retarded
>Fight: hard hits bends and breaks it
>Fire: steel conducts heat and melts
>Ground: Earthquakes breaks buildings and earth particles spoil mahines
>>24936279
>Steel is Op, lets fix it
>not fixing Fairy-type
Steel ain't broken, assbucket. Its the most balance type in the game. Great defensively but terrible for offensive. No non-Steel type Pokemon uses Steel-type moves unless they have nothing better to run. Plus Steel lost 2 resistance this Gen
10 resistance and 1 inmunity. that's OP
How about a psychic-attack that`s special-effective against steel-types (just the way freeze-dry is special effective against water types) as reference to alakazam bending spoons and other metal objects with his minds
>>24936383
Spoons aren't tanks.
>>24936383
This could work, that way psychics don't have to rely on focus miss. I also like that acid move idea that would be the poison equivalent of that
>>24936500
yeah, poison types could really need a buff like that
>>24936506
rip boo-boo keys and double jaw
>>24936285
You know what's dumb as hell? Most steel is terrible in the cold. It becomes incredibly brite at about -60 degrees and will shatter under a rather minor impact. Ice should be SE.
>>24938138
*brittle
>>24936279
Grass is super effective now because roots can tear through it, like it does with Ground and Rock.
>>24936279
Steel conducting electricity doesn't mean it's harmed by it. It makes perfect sense that it's neutral to it.
Steel is the only type that resists dragon. Without it fairy immunity would be the only way to deal with dragon offense.
Psychic isn't particularly effective against steel, it's just strong enough to bend steel, but it still has a harder time doing it. Metal blocks psychic attacks in fiction, i.e. tinfoil hats, Magneto's helmet against Charles.
Neutral to itself and Acid thing is fine.
>>24936279
Just make Steel weak to Water, because it causes them to rust.
>>24938211
>buff water even more
>>24938218
>not making Water weak to Poison
>>24938238
And then making it strong against steel would put it right back where it was, or still higher.
>>24938245
It would be more of a tradeoff than a straight buff. Also, it's pretty dumb that Water is super-effective against Ground. It should be neutral at best, because the water fucks up the ground by making mud, but the ground similarly fucks up the water.

I think the nerf/buff to steel for Gen 6 was fair. Lose 2 resistances to Ghost and Dark, and hit super effectively against Fairy.
Bonus to the type nerfing is that Ghost and Dark are very spammable moves now, Only dark and normal types are going to slow down ghosts, and dark spam is on the rise with so many mons in the higher ladder not having a resistance to it.
>>24938390
The moves would need 70 BP or less to match Freeze-Dry. There has to be some incentive to still use the higher powered moves like Sludge Bomb.
Hell, you don't even need new moves.
Acid: against Steel types, doubles BP to 80 and is super effective. (still 40 BP against other types)
Telekinesis: now also deals 70 BP (less than psyshock) and is super effective against Steel types. As a trade off, still levitates them, making them ignore ground moves.

>Steel is the only type that resists dragon. Without it fairy immunity would be the only way to deal with dragon offense.
Dragon attacks are only effective against itself, is logical if only fairy can resist it
>Psychic isn't particularly effective against steel, it's just strong enough to bend steel, but it still has a harder time doing it. Metal blocks psychic attacks in fiction, i.e. tinfoil hats, Magneto's helmet against Charles.

Ice is awful defensively but good offensively.
Steel is bad offensively but strong defensively; and it already got nerfed.
And making Dragon unresisted [Except the Fairy Immunity; not a resist] would cause far too many issues.
Yes; Steel was a balance bandage like Fairy which is why some stuff makes little sense just like Fairy's chart.
Honestly make Steel resist Dark again [Dark is too good right now now that it actually has an attack which can be above 80 BP]; and make Steel not resist Psychic [Spoon Bending, anyone?] because Psychic needs a buff.
>>24938885

Fire should resist every type and be effective against every type.
