They planned on ORAS being announced at E3 for a November release, but they announced it earl after the fucky shareholders meeting and they might want to do that with Z. Yeah, overall in the audience, XY and ORAS were received well. Just because everyone here is a bunch of whiny little shits doesn't mean it is bad.

The anime is hinting a big appearance of Perfect Zygarde in March, so the big announcement could easily happen in February. But would it be so clever to announce it on the same day the VC titles are released? A lot of fans would lose interest in Red, Blue, Green or Yellow and would hype for Z. Maybe they also save their money for Z instead. The best thing would be a big annoucement in January followed by a long period of nothing like they did with XY back in 2013.

I think the RGBY rerelease is geared towards adults. Think, children aren't gonna be interested in a game thats limited in color and lacks their favorite Gen 2-6 Pokemon.

Kids aren't gonna buy one of those dam 2DS's in Japan just for that rerelease. Come on... Those 2DS's are purely collectors items...
