What sort of champion would you create for the next pokemon game?
We've had a lot of great champions, and a lot of not-so-great champions. What fresh new idea could revitalize this important final boss battle?
For starters, don't have them constantly help you out for the entire game

Evil champion is a necessity. Or the Pokemon Professor from that gen
Two Champions who challenge you to a Double Battle.

Make the champion a jerk who rules over the elite 4 like a dictator.

Have the champion be a single, powerful entity who has the same team from game to game and looks the same from game to game.

A Pokemon that's learned to talk and control its former friends
Why isn't N considered a champion?
If Blue's short as fuck reign counts then N's should as well.
A champion who doesn't reveal his/her face until you reach his/her chamber at the Pokemon League.

The champion wants to destroy all pokemon because thats what everyone wants.
The Champion is the President/Governor/whatever of the region
It turns out whoever is best at pokes gets to rule the country

Make the champion a villain
Yourself. After you beat the elite four, they come and greet you as the first champion of the region. Shortly after, your rival appears and challenge you. He loses to you, but becomes a surrogate champion for when you're not around, so you can battle him again in the rematches against E4 and champion.

I want a champion where you discover bits a pieces of their story and adventures and make it apparent that you'll be seeing this one person at the end of the pokemon league. And then you find out their true story from them.
Or honestly, any champion that has a significant role in the overall plot. Someone like N.
