That is some funny ass shit, OP.
Me, as a kid, thought that type advantages were for dumb nerds, so I grinded hard as fuck for gyms that I could just brute force.
In Gen 1, I had to grind my Charmander to level 35 to curb stomp Misty.
Also, I thought if you had a team of only one type, you did more damage.
No idea, just sounded right.

>Heracross has the highest attack out of all Pokemon

>water move
mate if it was based on a rapid spin dryer it would be flying
you're right, you WERE stupid as a kid
>you had better morals if you defeated mewtwo instead of catching him
>Some fakemon I saw were real
>Mewthree & Bill's garden or whatever
>The original Crystal was attractive
>Healing your pokemon multiple times in the pokecenter was somehow better for them
>Press 'B' as soon as your attack hits and 'A' when the opponent does for a stronger attack/defense
>The starters were the strongest pokemon outside legendaries

>The starters were the strongest pokemon outside legendaries
I still kinda believe that, in the back of my head.
Starters always have unusual luck for me. more crits, take hits better, etc.

Tweety Bird?

I taught I taw a puddy tat

It's like a habit.
I honestly thought you should catch a ton of every pokemon.
I also thought Absol was a legend for the longest time.
>plows through morty's gym with a Pokemon that know mud-slap
>ground is strong against ghost
I can't be the only one.
>>24926890
I used to believe that if you surfed to the right of the S.S. Anne and used strength to move the truck, there was a pokeball with a mew in it underneath. Then some other kid told me it actually had Yoshi in it, so I stopped believing anything people told me.
>>24929754
Now that you mention it, ground should be weak to ghost

What's with the cleft palate? Looks uncomfortable.

It's pretty fun to make out with
First game I played I thought Pokemon Centers cost money, so I used them sparingly
>>24926890
figures a fag liking that awful character would be a retard. She's one of the worst female characters I've ever seen in an anime, and I'm not joking.
I didn't believe any of these things because I wasn't an idiot.
I thought if I went back into my house with the Silph Scope I would see my dad's ghost...
>>24930029
Still better than Umaru.
Ebina best girl.
First ever playthrough I thought Pokeballs just had random Pokemon in them so I bought none. I also ran from every battle possible, so I had to face down Brock with just a LV7 Bulbasaur....
>>24930741
Ebina is patrician taste, not-Tomoko is the best girl.
>>24927135
I'm guessing this is a joke about the new year but I can't be arsed to figure it out.
>>24926948
>Stat drops were permanent
So much this
I used to think you had to reduce the HP of a Pokemon to 0 before you could catch it when I played Pokemon Indigo. Used to get frustrated when it wouldn't allow me to catch a pokemon.
>>24931432
>indigo
>the more you used a move, the stronger it got
>went through all of Yellow with a Butterfree with Confusion
>didn't know where to get Flash
>stumbled through Dark Cave

>"Oh thank god, my team is in ruins, please help me."
>she's a trainer
>lose and have to do the cave over again
>try to catch Articuno
>Pokeballs miss for some fucking reason
>thought it was a glitch
>had the Gen 1 Exp All which ruined my exp distribution and therefore my team's levels
>could never beat the E4
>lost so many times that I didn't have enough money to buy Pokeballs or Potions
>hung out with the Gamblers east of Vermillion
I wasn't a smart kid.
>>24929815
It's not a placebo if you don't believe it. More like a good luck charm.
>>24930761
Wait, why would you choose not to buy Pokeballs if they aleeady had Pokemon in them? That sounds like a really good deal.
>>24929842
I thought the franchise was good.
>>24930741
EBINA'S EBINS
I thought Pokemon had individual weaknesses rather than set by types, or that some were more effective than others.
I was very surprised to hear that people actually liked Umaru as a character.
Ebina wasunderdeveloped
2.0moko is acceptable taste
Tachibana Sylphinford was the best character and the only reason why anyone with good taste would watch the show to completion. That the show didn't give her more screentime was a travesty and a blow against the credibility of anime as a medium.
On-topic, I thought that releasing Pokemon would let them be encountered randomly in nearby routes, but they'd gain levels on their own at a rate depending on how strong the local enemies were. I was afraid of releasing my Lv 100 Sandslash in Blue because I didn't think any route would be able to handle it, and it would dominate the natural wildlife.
I thought the nosepass gen III sprite's foot was his mouth

When Gen 6 was coming out I thought Mega Evolutions were actual evolutions, it blew my mind when I found out they aren't.
>>24932710
She also is anti-social as fuck and act kinda weird in general.
