I see you've posted the best Victory Road.

replaying silver recently i was disappointed by how empty victory road was. no puzzles and 1 trainer.

I'll give gen 6 credit, with the exception of Surf, which is actually pretty decent in battle, none of the HM's are need except to open up shortcuts and collect knicknacks
let's hope that trend sticks

HMs must not be useless if you need them

It was the first time you entered any old content and realized that Kanto was going to be less than stellar. Route 26 and 27 were new experiences, despite being part of Kanto. You expected to enter Victory Road and explore the same dungeon from the previous generation.
Instead, you got the same dungeon layout shrunken significantly and missing most (if not all of) the content.
Gen 2 Kanto in a nutshell.

Silver the rival already beat them asses before you came.

I did like that HG/SS fixed all the problem with GSC Kanto.

Eh, HGSS is still my favorite pokemon game but let's not exaggerate.

Yeah I'm sure he came to life and stopped Gamefreak from creating the rest of Kanto as well
