I don't think you understand anon, pokemon threads were clogging up /v/ and neither /v/ nor /a/ wanted pokemon on their boards. They'd constantly send pokemon threads to one-anothers boards and it led to shitposting and butthurt.
/vp/ needs to exist.
I like /vp/ it's smaller than a lot of other boards but no where near as slow as the likes boards like /p/. It's fast enough to feel active and small enough to feel homley. Also the general level of conversation is actually usually higher than some of my other frequent boards.
/co/ is completely wretched save for one or two threads, /o/ has a handful of cool people but a ton of shitty ones and too much bench racing, /a/ is alight but there's ten stupid threads for every good one, and /g/ is the worst board on the site.

Very few posters when compared to other boards, which i didn't realise before. Also there is very little to talk about so many threads are just shitposts that stay for several hours if not days with like 15 replies. The flow is snailpaced af. The more serious threads may stay for half a month!
