At least it's better than Gen 5.
It's decent for an SRPG but after the main story campaign the rest is just the same scenarios over and over so it gets really repetitive.
One of the biggest problems is that mons only ever have one moves that is determined entirely by species so there's not much variety in terms of units.

No, it's just an over glorified tutorial.
In the chapters you can develop the facilities in each castle. And also, looking for certain Pokémon to get the Perfect Link that otherwise you couldn't find.
There's no "main" campaign, and the final chapter, the one of your character, the IA is more polished and works better. This said, I don't know what they had in their mind with the Guardian Charm, once you buy it, there's no turning back, it breaks the game, hard.

In theory, but in practice having to constantly restart with minimal things carried over gets old fast. Due to the repetitive episodes, you'll quickly find yourself just bum-rushing the enemy's territory before it can expand and drag the scenario out longer.

I get that an item that allow you to "turn the tides" is useful. But they could, say, limit the boost, make the boost timed or something like that.
The Guardian Charm boost is that great, that allow the Pokémon to OHKO even in resisted hits againts 4/4 opposing Pokémon, is just nuts.
Couple that with some Pokémon like Charizard or Tyranitar that have Last Bastion and the stats are maxed right off the bat.
Guardian Charm Yukimura with Charizard can win a battle in like 3 turns, even if the opposition packs things like Tyranitar, Gyarados or even Thick Fat Walrein. Is just retarded.
Anyway, I understand completely why it get repetitive pretty quick, but every now and then I pick up the game again. I completed all the chapters, so the only thing I miss are some warriors and fucking Audino, since ot only appears by horde, and the only fuck that have perfect Link with them is a fat fuck that rarely appears.Also my autism makes me to not register Warriors with random linked Pokémon.
