I'll not miss soaring too much, but I legitimately liked Dexnav. You could get mons with egg moves and hidden ability for the main adventure without having to breed.
It was also a great way to farm hold items from wild mons.

It was like a bad version of fly, used it only for those damn Isles, otherwise pure trash.
Fly goes quick easy and you don't have to fly around to find the place you are looking for.
