Most of these had fantastic designs and gave usefulness to Pokemon who seriously needed it, and Gallade and Froslass were good alternate evolutions very distinct from their counterparts.
There are still so many Pokemon who need a new evolution to be useful.
Eviolite compatibility, then Megas.
Nothing that didn't work with Eviolite before will now. Nothing that has a Mega will ever evolve now because they're considered to be in their final form.

I agree that most of the new Gen IV evolutions were great. But the reasons there weren't any since then are quite obvious.
A major element of BW was the entirely new Pokedex, so of course there wouldn't be any cross-gen evolutions in Gen V. And Gen VI of course introduced mega-evolution, which would inherently cut down on the number of potential new standard evolutions. It's entirely unsurprising there haven't been any of these (except the obligatory Eeveelution to show off the new type) since Gen IV.

To imply cross gen evos stopped happening, or even more foolishly, to imply that megas exist because of eviolite, is the height of idiocy. What really happened was that until recently all of gen IV's cross gen evos were near universally panned, and gamefreak didn't want to repeat that. Megas were a HUGE brand and marketing undertaking and the underlying motive behind it was to keep the fully evolved pokemon's identity intact instead of replacing them with a new one.

Megas weren't a retcon at all, fairy wasn't ever explained. And those are both easier to explain than an item nobody but competitive autists knows about meant to be used in maingame while your starter is still unevolved.

Nobody said the latter part. And the former part hasn't been desputed. All you said was "YEAH BUT THEY CAN RETCON IT". Or they can put a ton less effort into it by NOT making a bunch of new evolutions, so that's less Pokemon to make AND less retcons to do.

Yeah, like Gallade and Weavile. Those two who got into Pokken before even Greninja. Electivire and Magmortar keep getting pushed because Magmar was awful anyway. People love Porygon-Z. Togekiss gets pushed all the time for simply being a Toge. Hell, Frosslass even gets pushed in PMD.
Just because you and a bunch of people don't like Rhyperior doesn't mean shit. That's even more retarded than thinking Megas were a result of Eviolite.

Nobody liked Nosepass so nobody liked Probopass. Togekiss definitely isn't hated at all. Magmortar is only ugly and shitty because the entire line is like that. Show me one fucking person who likes Magby and Magmar, and hates Magmortar for "ruining the line" of literally ass-on-forehead retarded fire breathing duck monsters for them. Because it's retarded and two entirely unexplained retcons don't justify eachother, so why add the second unexplained retcon? You're arguing they can change it because they can just retcon the series if they do, when it's far more logical to stick with established rules and not retcon shit if possible. That's the same reason why all the cross-gen evolutions had to get new exclusive items to evolve them. Moon stone didn't work on Eevee in Gen 1, why should it evolve into Umbreon in Gen 2 with a Moon Stone? They've been following that kind of guideline since Gold and Silver.
