Why was their never a Hey You Pikachu 2?
The voice recognition simply didn't work. It's failure was predicated purely on hardware failure preventing people from playing the game happily at all.

They could have just done Mirror's Edge-style 3D gameplay instead of just about everything that they've done to Sonic in the past 15 years or so

The sequel to this was marginally better, if only because it focused less on shitty minigames and let you play as the Gen 5 starters.
Pokemon channel was a pretty blatant sequel, despite not having having the voice recognition.
