If you use a Gengar, you'll win the entire game.
Not even facetious. Virtually all Pokémon have 2 or more normal attack moves and a good deal have ONLY normal moves.

To put in in perspective: fighting Lance only Gyarados can hit you for over 40HP. Two members of Blue's team, Exeggcutor and Rhydon, can't touch you at all (which is ironic seeing as these have type advantage over Gengar).

Also, Night Shade will hit normals in this gen.
