Its only Dianamon that's in it though, the Lunamon line itself isn't it, which was a shame because it's my favorite. I was hoping they'd add it for the western release since they added other Digimon but I guess there's still no reason to buy it a second time.

I like the World games myself—that is World and World: Re:Digitize. Hopefully the fan translation of Re:Digitize Decode will be complete some time next year, and hopefully -next 0rder- is going to make it to the West.

Surprisingly only one Coronamon, and we do allow full blown autism with custom Digimon... But we do have a chill community.
Will warn you that we are having some difficulties with a slow plot due to real life catching up with two of our admins, but we are trying to resolve that hopefully. Also we do have some content bwing worked on involving shit from Frontier, Savers and Xros Wars, but thats in the future.

Supposedly Digimon World re:Digitize and the Digimon Adventure games for PSP were really good. Japan-only, though, but a full translation patch is available for World and a partial one is available for Adventure.
There's also a good one for the DS (Dusk and Dawn) which I liked but which stopped working halfway through and I didn't pick up again after that (was playing on a flash cart).
It's not that they made bad games, it's that they didn't catch on. Maybe the franchise is just inherently unappealing in the West.

Because their mechanics are either very unintuitive and require a guide (World) or they're painfully grindy (World 2, 3, all of the Digimon Story games for DS). Digimon games were never as accessible as Pokémon is, and a lot of the time they weren't worth the effort getting to know them either.
I played World recently and I can appreciate its qualities now as an adult who appreciates autism, but when I was a child and watched a friend play it at his home, my only impression was that it was ugly, confusing, and tedious.
Doesn't help that the West was never made familiar with the v-pets.

Most of the game doesn't require one, but there's obscure stuff like Piximon/Piccolomon; Igamon/Ninjamon; or getting the upgraded Rod for Seadramon. There's also nothing that tells you that you need Vaccine/Virus-types to get into the Ice Sanctuary/Grey Lord Manor, and you need entry to the former to get Angemon to give you vague hints.
I'm mostly talking about the evolutions though, and what Digimon you can get from them.
