x4 weak to fighting and fire, x2 weak to ground, but resists normal, grass, ice, flying, psychic, bug, and dragon.
Plus neutral to stealth rocks and poison immunity.
Better idea for Volbeat and Illumise
Illumise gets Bug/Electric because blue electricity is a common thing in Pokemon.
Volbeat gets Bug/Fire with Motor Drive so Illumise can spam discharge and Volbeat can spam Heat Wave.
It'll go with how Fireflies are Lightning Bugs in Japan. One makes complex designs while the other makes geometric shapes. You could do something with that to justify because Fire and Electricity in the sky would make different shapes or something. I dunno

Considering Avalugg resists nothing but Ice right now and dies horribly to even 2x effective hits, 4x fighting wouldn't really mean much.
I mean consider the following

Dwebble/ Crustle are hermit crabs and bug types. Skorpi is a Scorpion, so an arachnid, not a crustacean. You do, however, bring up a good point. Krabby/ Kingler should be bug type too. Crawdaunt, gets a pass since they wanted to make it dark type. I just want a bug/ water that STAYS bug/ water, Surskit was such a disappointment. Why does Gamefreak hate that type combo?

It already dies to a spark as a pure ice type with only 2x weaknesses. Giving it a 4x weakness won't make it die any faster or slower, it still dies in one hit.

Rotom Fan - electric steel (just replace air slash with flash cannon)
Now it's actually useful - good typing with a good supporting ability, and all the defense capabilities of the other rotoms. I mean, it's a fan, shouldn't it be made of steel already?
M-Beedrill - bug/dark
Now it gets the adaptibility boost on knock off and u turn, it's two most important moves on a regular set. For flavor, well, it looks pretty vicious and set to kill. The poison type does nothing for it except for killing a few fairies anyway.
The lake fairies - all change to pure fairy
They're all tricksters, and all resemble pixies. Plus, it benefits all of them. Uxie is now a respectable wall, azelf doesn't die in a hit and gets a harder hitting dazzling gleam, and mesprit is still shit. Works out well.
Probopass - Rock/electric
While it's still 4x weak to ground, it loses the 4x fighting and can now come in on fire types. Still shit, but the flavor is stronger, what with the compass theme.
Weezing - Poison/fire
It learns fire moves, and you can make a case that it's gases are flammable. Besides, gaining a bunch of resistances is nice, even if water is now a problem.
Sunflora - fire/grass
Slight defensive boost and fits in with the sun theme. Know it's a stretch but whatever.
