The English pronunciation, however, silences the "u" sound, so it's just "Swee-coon."
The first time I ever heard of Suicune was in Celebi: Voice of the Forest, and since its name is pronounced in that movie, I've never had trouble with pronouncing it. Since I saw a Suicune card a month or so later, I've never had trouble spelling it either.

I only had my Silver version to go by for years before I ever heard the anime pronunciation, so me and my siblings assumed it was "Soo-ih-soon".
