>Pokemon 716: Sawsbuck
>Hard Mode: No References or Fixes
You know the drill. Pokemon isusuallyselected at random daily, you get in this topic, you draw a Sawsbuck in MS Paint (or similar program), and post results.

Stantler, and then Sawsbuck...Well played MSP Guy, well played...
>>24883516
we've al seen it coming since the "last 50" was made
>>24883527
>tfw you have waited for your favorite pokemon for almost 2 years now
>>24883500
>>24883499
i can salvage this
>>24883498
where is my submission with santa?
>>24883513
YES!
I had to use my most recently finished artwork since the Emboar's still in the works.
>>24883513
I wouldn't say I've gotten better, so much as my preferred art style has become more solidified
>>24883498
Update the archives NOW!!!
>>24883687
and here now is my current most recent: a hard mode summer sawsbuck, because i'll be damned if I let this board get any colder
long time occasional lurker, what's going to happen after 721?
>>24883894
things get cold
also we'll redo some of the older mons
>>24883900
I remember Dunsparce, should just redo that and call it a good 2 years
Merry Hard Mode!
>>24883513
Not particularly, since I haven't really been pushing my drawing abilities. If anything, this project has probably had a stronger effect on my short-term memory. Though I certainly put more work into my drawings now than I did when I first started.
>>24881826
>>24881908
The thing that the other anon said about me drawing on a laptop track pad is true. A lot of time is put into trying to get the lines just right, or at least as good as I'm willing to settle with them. I started drawing Sawsbuck like 10 minutes after this new thread was made and I only just now finished.
>>24883957
See, this is my very first submission and I did it in like 3 minutes.
>>24883950
YES
but Dunsparce already got a 2.0
>>24883894
Substitute Doll
>>24883513
Yeah I guess. They helped me put a bit more effort into my drawings.
Here's my first picture I've done for the threads if you want to see: http://i.imgur.com/UpdodAZ.png
>>24884068
Why you do drug?
>>24883979
The 2.0 for Dunsparce was only a "remaster". It included some images OP forgot in the first thread, and gave it a gradient background as well as keeping all the submissions from overlapping.
Dunsparce was the very first one. I feel like it is the most deserving for a redo. It'll be nice to have a "Then" version and a "Now" version.
>missed stantler
716 WASTED DAYS
Merry Christmas
>missed fucking stantler day
God damn it
>playing white when I got it
>wanted a deerling
>go into the grass outside driftveil
>a shiny comes up immediately
I'll post my first piece in another post, I've improved a decent amount.
>>24884646
Here's my first piece.

Hard Mode, Sawsbuck looks like my mom's deer right?
>>24883513
I think I've gotten better at drawing but it's not because of these threads. I'm not a regular, just post on the occasion and I change artstyles so I doubt anybody recognizes me.
>everyone drawing winter sawsbuck
Critiques wanted
>>24883513
I've improved on my shading and forms which is nice
It's been a long ride
>>24884982
Seems like you got a good grasp on deer anatomy. And the leaves are quite beautiful!
However, I find the face and neck rather off-putting. I think the neck should be thicker as it merges with the body. And the snout should be a little lower on the face. The colors and shading could use a bit of cleaning, and the lineart could use a wee bit of smoothing out. Aside from that, it seems rather solid.
Overall, even though I find it a bit rough, it's a good effort. Keep at it, drawfriend!
>>24884956
>JUST KILL ME NOW
Oh shit, I remember that.I made this edit.
>>24883513
I'm still hit-and-miss, but overall improved.
>>24885470
Holy shit anon, why are your drawings so consistently heartwarming and cute?
>>24883957
I like the Paper Mario feel it has to it.
>>24885470
Anon that's fucking adorable.

Are you alone this christmas anon?
>>24885627
No. Why do faggots like the word "anon" so much?
>>24885637
Dude, just namefag if you're going to be a little bitch about the mechanics of 4chan.
>>24885028
Thanks for the input!
>>24885637
Your uncouth manner suggests that even if it were explained to you, the mental gymnastics required to grasp it would cause a catastrophic failure.
Perhaps being judged only for the content you produce is a foreign concept to one who can only produce worthless bile.

btw enjoy being chased off tumblr once someone gets enough proof together to make a callout post on you. it's definitely gonna happen.
>>24888064
>once someone gets enough proof together to make a callout post on you
are you fucking kidding me nigger you cant even get any decent and solid evidence against him on these threads alone
>>24888069
someone sounds mad that people know the truth :^)
Every time I come into these threads, everybody's always attacking this one guy despite his art being pretty good.
What's the deal with that? Is he really rude or obnoxious or something?
Or do you guys just jump at the chance to vilify somebody so you can feel validated?
>>24888080
He posts on reddit.
That's literally the only reason.
>>24888080
Because the only time anything they draw is close to being "on model" is when it's a blatant (and poor) trace/copy of a 3d model (pic related) or retardedly simple. Anything freehanded looks broken to all hell as seen here: >>24887337 with the sylveon. It's just too inconsistent to be a coincidence.
Using blurred photographs for backgrounds and shitty particles littering the foreground in every single picture posted in an attempt to mask their obvious lack of skill just adds insult to injury.
It wouldn't be so bad if they weren't trying to market themself so heavily and actually get paid for the lazy trash they produce.
>>24888090
>summer
nailed it
>>24888150
Why is this your problem?
Do you really want him to stop doing that or are you just trying to be a White knight?
>>24888090
hey look for once the hooves make sense
>>24888199
The thing is, him earning money for simply tracing models and slapping blurred bgs on an image and passing it off as his own work and skill raises a moral issue. You might not find a problem with it, but many people who put hundreds of hours of practice into honing their skills to sell their own commissions are hurt by this type of thing.
>>24888090This stick... Thick!
>>24888223
That's the idiots that commission the tracer's work's problem, not the artist. If people weren't dumb enough to pay for traced images, they'd have more incentive to improve.
You can't fix morons.
>>24888223
They're created images. It doesn't matter how they're created. Do you also say that copy-paste should be considered immoral since they're basically tracing but worse? Is layering in Photoshop also a sin? Who the hell thinks tracing is a moral issue? Would you like a tissue for your issue? Get over it and focus on real problems in the world.
>>24888240
Pretty much this
>>24888248
holy shit are you for real, how do you seriously not see it as a problem
in this instance asshole tracing and claiming he did the work himself is akin to you doing a good job at work on a huge project but someone else takes the credit for it, would you not be pissed off in that situation?
>>24888264
dude isn't gonna get it. don't bother.
How do I lineart faster? I feel like my lineart speed never got any better...
>>24886239
No problem!
>>24888264
That's not an exact parallel. Your example is of someone taking credit for another person's work without them having done any work themselves, correct?
People tracing 3d models and such still have to actually do the coloring and all of that shit. It's not completely devoid of work.
Sounds like you're harboring anger if your first reaction in your hypothetical situation would be anger. Did someone trace something of yours? And because of that, do you now have a vendetta to settle?
>>24888080
>Or do you guys just jump at the chance to vilify somebody so you can feel validated?
It's this tbqhwyt my knee grows.
