It's seriously unarguable, they are the worst games in the franchise. Music and Art are both subjective, but Graphics, Gameplay, mechanics, audio quality, everything has improved every game after it.

Shut the fuck up. Nintendo themselves didn't even believe in Pokemon back when it was just a concept and Miyamoto himself had to wager his job on its success. They were ambitious for their time and still impressive with that in mind, but there were still a shitload of flaws.
