Honestly thought that it would've been satisfying to grind all of the puppets up to Lv. 19 without CE's speedhack. It wasn't satisfying at all.

Good work, we finally got a coherent start to a new thread.
>>24871310
Hemo is on the move again.
>>24871527
A small preview of Hecatia being broken as shit in the expansion. Unintentionally, of course.
>>24871536
I fear how bullshit the inevitable Hecatia boss fight is going to be.
>>24871574
At least it'll be four hours of getting to listen to what's going to be the best song in the game.
>>24871596
BTW, what music remixes you hope the expansion gets? i hope they act a remix of it, fighting pic related without it is a fucking heresy.
>>24871611
Fuck, i am retarded, forgot link
>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ygy6O9kVt7U
>>24871347
Forgot to add Tension Up's original name 「テンショソアップ」 and Embodiment of Revenge's original name 「復讐の化身」 to the compilation.
To paraphrase Tension Up's description 「 相手のスキルを無効にした時 散弾が一段階あがる」: "Increases Spread Attack by one stage when you're hit by a skill you're immune to."
"Chaos Maker" is a more accurate name for Clownpiece's Confusion ability and should replace "Troublemaker," since it's actually difficult to find an exact English term for this ability.
Also, sorry for taking so long with the OP; was still trying to come up with a decent name for Clownpiece's Confusion ability.
>>24871347
>Embodiment of Revenge - Damages the opponent after receiving an attack of 70 or more BP.
This is fucking OP, is there something like rock helmet in the game?
I feel stupid, but I haven't played in a week and the last thing I did was the first Cirno fight that ended with the other fairies running off.
What am I supposed to do now? The left exit is still blocked, the bottom is blocked, and Akyuu still wants me to explore the village.
>>24871711
There are more baka squad fights scattered throughout the outskirts of the village.
>>24871697
There's Thorn Charm.
> When held by a Puppet and when attacked by a foe with a Focus Attack, the foe will take damage.
>>24871718
I swear I explored the entire place, but apparently I missed this one single spot.
>>24871733
>Those boobs
That DAI in her name is not for nothing.
>>24871743
No sexualizing the fairies.
I started playing a couple days ago, didn't get very far, and now I have to ask; would it be better to keep playing or to wait until the 30th when the expansion comes out? I'm not sure how long these translations take. Also just started playing PCB after playing nothing from the series but Mystic Square for months and fuck am I experiencing whiplash. Is it normal to take 20 seconds to beat any spell card on Normal difficulty or does Sakuya-A just have shit damage?
>>24871760
Translation is going to take anywhere between 3-8 months, with 3 being very generous.
Personally I was plenty eager to play through the base game and then use the expansion as an excuse to do a second run later.
Can't really dictate the decision for you though. The game is already great but obviously going to be even better later, it's all personal preference on what you wanna do with it.
Ok, Stall.
Anyone here manage to run a good stall team? If so, what the hell did you do
>>24871760
Sakuya-A does have low damage, but the range is great, also you can use 4 bombs per life, which allows more room for error.
The bosses in the PC-98 era does are shorter compared to the Windows era, Sakuya-A extends it a bit.
I recommend just download all the games from the main series instead of stick to one, they're great.
>>24871773
Why do you keep hoping for Stall to work
It's not like begging for one of us to try and figure it out for you is going to change the fact that STALL IS BAD
>>>/jp/ Fuckfaces.
>>24871894
Go back to /v/.
>>24871756
They sexualize themselves.
>>24871889
Stall is good. It is fun to play, it is entirely viable, and it is healthy for the metagame
>>24871810
Well my thought process was 1cc'ing a game before I move on to the next.
I started with EoSD, 1cc'd that, then went backwards and played the PC-98 games in order. I couldn't 1cc Mystic Square after months of practice and decided I should move on and revisit it later, when I'll probably be more skilled due to more experience with shmups.
>>24871927
>Stall
>Fun
How the fuck is waiting for your opponent to faint because hazards and posion/burn while you do nothing but buff your defenase and heal fun?! in the same time a stall battle ends, i could have done 3 battles!
>>24871956
It's fun for him because he gets to make his opponent suffer, obviously.
>>24871956
It takes more skill than pressing your "kill everything" button on your sweepers. Prediction and skill is what determines whether a stall team lives or dies
>>24871926
Fairies are for boiling so you can create puppets.
Don't worry, they will regenerate anyway.
>>24871961
>>24871963
Except that i am sure that most of the time the opponent will just go "fuck you" and ragequit, even worse in touhoumon because they can't ban ragequitters.
>Fighting 3 fairies
>Beat them second try
Good thing this time Eirin carried the whole team
>>24871972
Then he takes his points and moves to the next match, obviously.
>>24871977
But where is the fun of "watching my opponent to slowly die" went they just ragequit?
>>24871996
He either gets easy points or he gets to watch the opponent slowly die. It's a win-win, obviously.
>>24871972
The actual reality is that stall teams are free wins.
There are too many heavy hitters like SukunaD or UtsuhoS or things that can take a hit and still really deal out the pain (hi RaikoP, hi MamizouD, hi SukunaD again) for stall to be viable.
The sooner you realize that, the sooner you can start playing bulky offense and get at least some of what you want.
>>24872013
>Easy victory with not effort
That is...boring.
>>24872020
That is not stall, for /vp/ stalls means NEVER ATTACKING, just buffing and healing and let the hazards and status effects kill the opponent.
>>24871674
>>24871342
Finally settling down with "Madness Maker" for 「混乱誘発」
Also, listen to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s4XoDlQV0so and calm down, anons.
>>24872013
Also, the thing is that there's no scoreboard.
Your W/L record is literally meaningless.
>>24872036
Even in actual Pokemon that's borderline unviable these days and is being kept afloat only by M-Sableye. And it's slowly dying out regardless because of power creep.
Not like it matters. Stall is only barely viable in regular Pokemon, which is already an unbalanced clusterfuck. Balance is not perfect here by any means, but it's definitely much better than Pokemon just on account of "use your favorites" actually being a viable strategy.
Stall is unhealthy and the fact it's fading away is a good thing. Slapping a giant wall on your team to keep some threats at bay like OrangeD is perfectly viable and fine (or even two), but trying to cram nothing but walls in and expecting things to work out is not panning out here.
Question of my own: What determines the power of Tumble Plant? I know it's based off of the opponent's cost and that 120 cost probably = 120 power, but what about 110 cost? 100? 90? 80?
There are already too many options for me to deal with.
>>24872090
http://162.208.49.218/wiki/Tumble_Plant
One of the few unspecified-damage-variable attacks that's actually fully explained on the wiki.
>>24872122
>http://162.208.49.218/wiki/Tumble_Plant
Oh man, that's a low kick that actually is good against a significant number of puppets.
>>24872142
Yeah I thought it was just going to be another shitty gimmick move but I'm actually interested in slapping it on someone someday.
>>24872099
Don't worry, look at box 30.
Each row is a team you can use at any time when you go online, giving you a total of 7 easily accessible teams including your on-hand party. That's space for 42 dolls. Feel free to level up your many favorites whenever you want.
>>24872148
Try it on Yuuka, works pretty well for me.
>>24872154
That doesn't fix my immediate issue of who to use currently for the story.
>>24872171
You can just keep what you have at this point, or grind up the others if you want. You can get through the single-player with any combination so you don't really need to worry about your team setup unless your team shares a common weakness. Use whoever you want.
>>24872171
chen, ran, rumia and sukuna are all solid choices and cute as hell
>>24872254
Well I seem to have an issue with metal and Reimu I actually lost to because she's immune to both void and illusion, but I meant more on the cute factor.
They're all fucking adorable and I wanna use them all.
>>24872281
>Ran
I don't even have her yet. Chen's been the backbone of my team so far though.
>>24872171
Exp share means you can swap out a lot. I used 12 puppets regularly, with about 5 or 6 over the course of the game getting permabenched when their roles and typing became too similar to others. I did end up picking a static team for the end of the game however, so take it as you will.
>>24872099
no lie this problem has kept me from progressing for like 4 days
my current solution has been to just grind everyone up to 65 or so as a wind-down activity.
>>24872122
Got it.
It's kind of weird how small the BST differences are between things with 80 cost and things with higher cost. The difference between the top end of an 80 cost and the low end of a 120 cost is only 60 points, and a good chunk of the ultra-high end (560+) aren't that good anyways.
I literally am paralyzed by indecision about who to use now (outside of Raiko in every team ever)
>>24872688
Yeah, higher cost puppets are gimped with the slower leveling throughout the game and for no real benefit to it, it's strange.
I like the mechanic of stronger puppets being slower to level so they remain on par with weaker puppets while going through the story but it isn't terribly well implemented at the moment.
Thankfully it looks like the expansion might be fixing that a bit, what with that one picture showing that Wiggywaggy and supposedly other 80 cost puppets taking more to level up now.
>>24872688
Another thing is movepool. A decent number of 120 cost stuff have shitty movepools, while low BST stuff like fairies can get stuff like Fairy Dance.
Seems pretty strong.
>>24872778
the fuck is that ability? That shit's pretty much just inverse huge power
>>24872791
TPDP's version of "Fur Coat."
>>24872778
>>24872791
Her stat spread is pretty terrible and she doesn't get any good STABs so her damage output is unsurprisingly awful to balance our her ability.
She's still not even really that good of a focus wall with it anyways, 60 focus defense still only brings her up to being pretty good, a SukunaD is still much better at it while also being a fucking demigod of destruction ontop of it.
Only thing going for her is that she has abnormally high focus resistance without gimping her spread defense so she can still be a decent mixed wall.
>>24872706
I mean even in "competitive" they aren't that much stronger in stats. And as >>24872730 said the movepools tend to be much worse and lack boosting moves.
The sheer advantage of high stats does mean the top puppets tend to be higher costed, but it does result in things like FutoS sitting below KogasaA in the ratings (although FutoS as of now is back above KogasaA).
>>24872807
God SukunaD is so ridiculously good it's amazing. Physical attacks bounce off her and things die horribly if anywhere near her. It's hilarious how the smallest puppet hits so goddamn hard.
>>24872832
Why is competitive in quotes
>>24872854
PDP doesn't really have a competitive scene. Not a significantly big one anyway.
>>24872854
Because no one does it seriously.
Like for me, I'm debating over whether to pick NitoriS, KogasaA, or WakasagiS for my team and it's basically coming down to between Nitori's military outfit, Kogasa's adorableness + raincoat outfit, and Wakasagi being cute beyond words.
If I wanted to be "optimal" I'd go FutoS, but that'll wait until I make a smug team.
>>24872882
Also I'm putting RaikoP into every team but that's because Raiko.
>>24872882
You'll need to wait for the expansion for Doremy for team smug.
>>24872882
Obviously use Nitori. She's the cutest of the choices.
What main game teams did you guys use?
>>24872909
I struggled a lot through the game, actually. Beginning was the worst, middle was actually easy, end picked things up again.
>>24872909
Nothing too exciting. I threw myself in completely blind and kept it that way until postgame so I just picked up whoever I ran into and then grew too attached to replace them.
Somehow I ended up completely crushing the entire game from start to postgame though, still haven't had a full team wipe.
Can't wait for a second playthrough in the expansion with a pre-planned team this time.
>>24872915
>hard early game
The first Reimu fight had me shitting blood, since puppet reimu countered everything I had.
>>24872915
>>24872919
You'll never seal them all at this rate Anons.
>>24872909
Before getting Suika, Sukuna, and Koishi, I had Mamizou, Chen, and Kokoro.
>>24872929
I'm saving up all the autism I can muster for going balls deep in the expansion.
>>24872909
Didn't change my team up all that much over the game. Suwako was the latest pickup, and she replaced a Nue that I had been using.
The hardest parts for me were probably Rumia's team and the E3. Remi actually wasn't that tough.
>>24872938
I don't like camo Nitori, implies she'd be a filthy betrayer.
>>24872807
She gets Wind Wave, that seems pretty good.
If I wanted I could combine it with her other ability, lucky, for a %60 flinch chance.
>>24872931
>using profile over puppet
>>24872949
a severely underleveled Power Sanae got me through a lot of tough battles like that
>>24872949
She's way too slow to move first against anything that actually tries to go first and she'd die in a single hit from any decent focus attack without special wall.
Not trying to stop you from using your waifu or anything but you gotta at least stick to what makes her not-awful.
If you're just looking for effectiveness instead of waifu then Sanae does the flinchlock build infinitely better.
>>24872953
I know puppet Is cuter. I just like the profile pose better.
>>24872962
I'd rather know that something cannot work than try and fail.
I'll go with wall + paralyzing wave spam option.
How much does telescope boost accuracy?
>>24872978
It's 20% extra accuracy in Pokemon, which it should be a direct copy of in this.
>>24872989
I think is 30% here.
>>24873000
Are you sure that's for the held item called telescope and not the ability called telescopic which is 30%?
>>24873007
Opps, you are right, that is the ability.
>>24872909
Is there anyone able to host a battle tonight? My team isn't anything special, I just want to get a few battles in before reincarnating and making my other 6 battle-box teams.

>>24873051
Just out of curiosity, why "announcing your report" is a banable offense?
>>24873058
It's blatant shitposting.
>>24873058
Because moot.
>>24873058
I don't really know, but it just seems like an annoying thing to do.

>>24873080
Every 2hu has a portrait for the trainer cards even if they don't show up anywhere in-game.
>>24873058
Same reason sage became invisible because of the sage is not a downvote thing. Announcing a report adds nothing at all, even calling the thread shit or a single reply to a post saying "this" is more productive.
What would be the best puppet to live with?
Aki?
Byakuren?

Wait, Just just fought Cirno who used a puppet called Cirno. Are the puppets made in the image of these beings or is Cirno a puppet that doesn't like fighting for others?

>>24875631
Defense Orange is the slowest at 10 base Speed.
Power Magan is the slowest puppet with usable offenses, clocking in at 20 base Speed with 125 SAtk.
If you're building for Genbu you probably want to look at the other slowmons using the wiki here: http://tpdp.supersanctuary.net/wiki/Puppetdex

Can confirm that 「ちっちゃく ても士・・・ 恋卜同士 みたいなこと したいな」 basically means "even if I'm small ... I want to do romantic things with you."
Fuck Hammer's handwriting, though; took me 3 hours of staring at the picture and 5 hours of sleep in order to figure out what some of the characters are.
Also, who's the bestrabbit?
>>24875825
I love Raisin.
>>24875825
i like them all, but tewi especially
test
>>24875825
Goddamnit Sukuna, stop making me fall in love with you
>>24875005
So basically a worse Groudon.
Boring
>>24875016
So that's who draws all those cute pictures.
>>24875946
Pokemon power levels are far, far higher than in TPDP.
SukunaD is easily in the top 3 best puppets in the game in this, nothing else does as much damage as she does while also having such an abnormally high defense at the same time without setup.
>>24875946
well yeah, most puppets seem boring when you compare them to fucking groudon
>>24875946
Yes, she is a worse version of a BST 670 overpowered as fuck Pokemon that is in a completely different game.
Seriously, Groudon is a version mascot legendary that's designed to be overpowered. Sukuna is found in the first route of the game.
Hell, compare Groudon's Precipice Blades to Sukuna's Chrysanthemum Water; both are BP 120 moves with 85% accuracy and 10uses, but Groudon's is Ground type and thus conflicts with Earthquake while Sukuna's is Steel type and doesn't conflict with Shooting Press. Also her move has a 10% chance to boost ATK.
Also note that Groudon does not have access to the Golden Hairpin, which lets Sukuna become so ridiculously strong against physical attacks that even her double weakness becomes not guaranteed to take her out.
Also Sukuna is infinitely more adorable.
SukunaD > Groudon

>>24876187
Look forward to a full hour of Hemo walking around one-shotting everything with Hecatia.
>>24876361
Are you implying he's going to be biased towards Hecatia? He wasn't biased towards Waggyswaggy at all
>>24876391
Nah, he's done a great job keeping the game pretty balanced so far, was just a joke for how dedicated he is to waifu'ng her nowadays.
How come Pat isn't curvy?
>>24876422
Who's Pat? Patchy?
>>24876443
Yes
>>24876495
Fatchouli isn't real.
>>24876504

Uh, how the fuck the Patchy i posted is fat? she thinks she is, but look at her, she is not.
>>24876495
This is what she really looks like. Please don't mixup fanon with official.
>>24876513
Fuck you, i do what i want.
>>24876187
I must say i don't like hemo's voice, he sounds so robotic.
>>24876509
I mean how most works make her look relatively fatter and curvy. She's unhealthy as fuck.
>>24876504
she is very likely to be out of shape though.
>>24876556
Because why not? let people have fun.
fuck this fucking mansion fuck
>>24876749
This is only just the beginning, anon.
You're complaining about the waiting room being too warm at the entrance to hell.
hey do you guys know of a touhou animated song having to do with a place that sells meat that cirno died in it?

I hope you die for making me look after it. Seriously, it's not even hard to find, took me three minutes but I wish I hadn't.

Thank
Did hemo work in touhoumons 1.8 Enhanced? in any case he did pic related about it.
>>24877043
He kind of made 1.8 vanilla, which is what Enhanced tried to enhance (and failed miserably). That picture is the is the Champion's rematch team in an older version of 1.8 (before Dark Alice, Tenma, and Sendai became playable).

This is progress, right? Albeit this is done with the help of an anon from /jp/
>>24877333
What manner of sorcery is this?
>>24877333
Is that CE? If so way to go ruining your game.
So how good is this compared to other fangames or romhacks?Or actual Pokemon games?
>>24877308
But thanks to it i learned about this song.

>>24877344
It's something that I should've done earlier to find the learnsets for the new puppets, instead of spending about 2 days on grinding.
>>24877358
>actual Pokemon games
Please, anon, this isn't even close to a Pokemon game. Secondaryfags just want an excuse to shill their fandom on other boards.
>>24877382
Well now you can find if any of the old puppets have new learn sets.
>>24877358
Unsurprisingly a lot of people here will say that it's better than Pokemon.
Which I agree with, because it is. The main things it does better to sum it up: Everything is generally well balanced and viable andbuilding your team both during the story and in post-game min/maxing is significantly less tedious.
Aside from that it's got a bunch of personal preference things like great music, adorable as fuck portraits and sprites and a far more fast-paced aggressive netplay meta.
Downsides are that the story is nowhere to be found (Arguably a good thing), the map design is very hit or miss and the difficulty curve is total wack with some people finding it to be a complete joke and others being nearly impossible.
>>24877295
I have never ever go to /f/ or /i/, you are mistaking me with other anon.
>Being so triggered by certain pic that you think everyone using it is the same anon.
What are the cutest puppets in the game
>>24877452
Every single one of them.
>>24877452
All them but rinnousuke's puppet.
>>24877468
You're right. Rinnosuke is kuuru. I'd name his puppet The Man with the Plan but its too long.
Goddamnit I can't even bear to want to make a hyper-competitive team anymore, I just want to run cute things.
Also I will run Raiko in literally every team.
>install the game on my old toaster of a laptop
>runs at full speed in the overworld
>runs at full speed in battles
>the black screen before the battles are sometimes Sonic 06-tier bad, for no apparent reason
This is really killing my motivation to play the game, here.
>>24877468
Rinnousuke is cute! CUTE!
This specialization branches is cool as shit. If there was Puppet Fusion, this would be GOAT.
Is this normal?
>>24877784
>Puppet fusion
>>24877826
That's a power Suika for you. Shinmyoumaru gets tiny and cute too.
>>24877826
Yes. Size scaling is unique to Power Suika and Defense Sukuna.
Also "P" is the screenshot button.
>>24877846
She learns ghost wave? Why? For what porpuse?
Fuck nether, can't give its cool moves to who I want but it vomits the others to everyone.
>>24877863
The same reason my Power Suika knows this and can move on every turn.
>>24877875
Charge Stealing on Suika is somewhat canon considering her spellcards in the fighting games.
>>24877452
Kokoro and Nitori bruh.
>>24877875
That's pretty easy to explain though.
Who's the Magikarp
>>24878150
Sakuna probably. Pretty garbage before style change.

do anyone use SuikaD? Is she worth a try? I don't like the oversize
>>24878580
People get on me for choosing Power, so it's very likely.
>>24878580
110/100/100 defenses. Worth a shot
>>24878589
>>24878596
will try then, red mark right?
>>24878580
>tfw Reimu at one point had Suika living with her
>tfw Suika is now living in Heaven instead
>tfw Reimu is alone
>>24878695
The shrine can only house one youkai at a time it seems, regardless of size.
I read that I need to find Suwako to get an item that's a combination of the Combat Handbook and the Wooden Sword. I think that She's supposed to be at Giant Toad's Pond she doesn't appear at the Moriya Shrine, but she isn't here. Am I supposed to do something else first? Also where's Kasen? I read that I need to do a fetch quest for her to get something good.
>>24878789
Talk with Sanae and Kanako to make sure Suwako appears in the Moriya shrine. Kasen is, from that pic, right up left.
>>24878695
>Reimu has entire beautiful shrine to herself
>Her miko ways essentially guarantee that she would let anyone stay with her for free
>she's such a bitch that no one wants to
Only reason Suika could stand her was because she was always drunk, and even then she eventually got fed up with her shit.
She deserves loneliness, honestly.
>>24878816
You're a funny guy huh. Nevermind the fact that her job is youkai extermination right?
>>24878816
Explain why this adorable little thing is living with her

>>24871889
Why is stall bad in this game?
>>24878875
puppets like to hit things
>>24878875
Not enough good tools for it to work, best you'll get is bulky offense.
>>24878875
This is why.
Seriously, too many good bulky puppets that can actually put out good damage for stall to be remotely worth considering, especially when some of them (like her) can punch holes through any wall in their way.
Not to mention that basically everything gets hazard removal and literally everything gets taunt, and there's a status effect that stops healing HP AND there's a terrain that makes healing do damage instead.
Basically pic related is why stall is dead.
how do I use this
