My favorite pokeballs have to be the apricot ones in particular the moon ball. How ever my favorite mechanic would have to be the ball capsules from Shinoh. I really want the next game to have more of the customazations features from other gens, such as the abbilty to craft pokeballs from apricots, the ball caps even the trainer custmaztion from x/y.
The designs of the Heavy and Net balls are still pretty good.
I use pokeballs on almost everything but sometimes I'll use ultra or great (or quick if I wanna be lazy.) I mostly use timers on legendaries but I caught regice in a premier and reshiram in a ultra
Some balls just look like fucking shit (repeat) and I never bother to use the gimmick balls (luxury, dive, etc)

I think I got all the legendaries I could catch. I wasn't even looking for Entei. I hear there is a glitch were if he uses roar he will never show up again. I really wanted to chase him all over the place but I decided there was nothing else to use a master ball on. I think I'll boot up an emulator just to chase him around. I feel like I missed out on some fun.

I think using them on roamers was justified in previous generations where they were stupid obnoxious. Now it's best to save them for resetting Legendaries for IVs, so you don't have to go through the obnoxious process of catching them over and over the hard way between checks.
