How is this thing balanced? With a Choice Band it can dent anything that switches into it besides M-Venusaur, Amoongus and Tentacruel, but if it isn't sporting a choice band and is using a belly drum set then only M-Venu is safe.

In terms of raw power alongside coverage, it's not really balanced. But in OU, it isn't that dominating a Pokemon because even if many things can't switch into it, quite a number of things can still check it, e.g. Kyurem-B, Lati@s if worn down, Toxicroak, Breloom, Rotom-W, Serperior.
Just fucking use Talonflame and brave the shit out of him, with little prior damage that thing is fucking kill and it won't aqua jet the shit out of you after belly drum

Azumarill struggles against healthy Pokemon and Steel or Poison types. There's also a susceptibility to being revenge killed since it's slow. Aqua Jet most likely is not going to save it in those scenarios.
There's also Volcanion coming soon who is looking really promising as a defensive check on the level of Mega Venusaur.

If it was faster, it would be legitimately broken.
The BD set is a phenomenal cleaner against offense, but there's plenty of water resists in OU to ward off the bellyjet, even ones that work on offense.

If you have nothing over 100 Base-Speed or any priority, then yes, it can be a pain in the ass to play against. Other than that, just outspeed and kill it, it's a bit frail compared to other megas and Top-OU.
