Something I'm curious about concerning music selection, I've been comparing and contrasting various series and came around to wondering if Pokemon uses the music completely to the perspective of the main characters only? Like say, during various battle tracks, there are more worrisome or tense tracks when Ash or someone is losing or in a bad situation, and ones where Ash or someone is going to do something grand.
But does the anime have say, an upbeat track for Ash, and then things start turning sour fast, and the music is still playing? Because would it not be great, grand for the "other" person? It seems to vary by show, so there doesn't seem to be a universal standard.
I want to say it's only bad tunes when Ash is losing, and good tunes when Ash is winning, but I do, or at least think I remember it being the other way too.
