On a similar note, fuck both the Rollder and the Shuckle. Might as well call it a Rock gym rather than a Bug one. Had to PP stall the Shuckle to eke out a win, since there's nothing but level 3 pokemon to grind on once you've fought everyone. I feel bad for anyone that tries to nuzlocke this.

This isn't exactly fully true. Vega has crazy illegal moves available on Pokemon, like you can get a Wood Hammer Charizard in the postgame. The eighth gym is literally a hamfisted movie 1 reference with illegal base stats and movepools, and I think gym 4 has a Porygon-Z with an Up-Grade retooled to be 50% Normal move boost and I'm not sure if you can obtain it normally. And that's not even touching on the complete dex Turner battle and the grinding.
With that said, other than this, Vega is genuinely punishing in a good way, but it's a lot more fun randomized. All the better fakemon are postgame, speaking of which this hack has a lot of postgame which I know this board has a gigantic boner for.Also the elite four are all weak to ground. Bring a Raze Earth user (Special Ground-type Double-Edge clone that's a TM)
Pokemon Omicron is better, and its not a romhack. Its a program in itself and made better. With 2 regions, and is actually difficult.

Considering you can't have reached that point without Surf, I imagine you mean Waterfall, which is received from a female DH grunt in the DH hideout after you beat Turner.
Clearing the Ghost gym (the one you're stuck on) enables fly.
The path is not only invisible, but incomplete. Defeating the underling trainers restores the missing parts of the floor, and after you beat all of them you can reach the leader.
Walk up to the first trainer, get on her right side, then walk right until you're in line with the next trainer, walk up and around another in line to the left of them, walk left until you're in line with the leader, then walk up.
Course that's all off the top of my head and may not be 100% accurate but go nuts.
UNRELATED, these people talking about mew are making me feel retarded, because I've never encountered it on three playthroughs and only on this one have I even considered that it might exist since that girl in Porcelia makes mention of a certain pink pokemon. wat do.
