Also, all these other Johto trainers using Ampharos because of course you all are, there are hardly any electric types in Gen 2 and the game give it to you right after Falkner and it just sticks around despite being mediocre at best. When was the last time anyone went through Johto without using an Ampharos? It's like a checklist Pokemon.
