If you have U-turn on Darmanitan, I would have switched to him as soon as Aggron fell asleep, eaten a dark pulse, u-turned out to break the sub and gone into Sableye to try to get the status on him without losing anyone. If you can't outspeed Darkrai, the only thing protecting you is sleep clause.
It's not as bad as what the other guy was doing, but if he'd bothered to set up another sub before killing Aggron (and he should have, knowing you had Sableye), you wouldn't have been able to do much and he could have wiped you right then.

No, on Dragonite i have leftovers to take advantage of multiscale and it saved me in every battle, unfortunately i don't have anything to deal with things like darkrai and i have been pretty lucky since that is the first one i encounter in anything goes. Probably i'm going to change gengar or aggron with something else.

I haven't played Ubers since Gen 4, but Primeape seems intuitively like it would be a viable counter to Darkrai, since it has Vital Spirit.

To add to this, I was thinking Bug Buzz would be the best way to switch in to a substitute-using Darkrai, with Accelgor looking like the only one faster than Darkrai. You could always use a scarf or something, though.

Just don't use shitmons in AG. It takes literally 3 minutes to get at 1300 if you use a proper team.

well I got to 1400 with shitmons and i will keep on using them because many of them are my favorite, I can't enjoy playing with the same pokemon everyone use just because they are stronger, not that there is anything wrong in doing so since everyone has the right to play the way he finds more fun.
