Okay so when I was a little kid I helped my cousin move house, and in doing so I found an exercise book of his where he chronicled his playthrough of Pokémon Yellow.
Despite never having played a Pokémon game at that point, I thought it was a brilliant idea to make up my own one based on what I read in my cousin's book. Then I grew up and my book was put away for over 10 years.
Today, I found it, and I think it would be worth sharing with you nerds. Apologies, some of the grey lead stuff is hard to see. 1/28

Here we have the setting, the Bakalle region. Hell if I know what that means.
If you want me to transcribe the text I can, it will take a while though. Hopefully it's legible enough. 2/28

These are the player characters. Good thing 7 year old me could draw, huh

I'm gonna skip quickly to the back page to show off the wonderful TMs and HMs I envisioned, as well as the "totally not apricorns" stolen from watching my cousin play GS

You can see here the map of the first town and route, with a legend and some misc scribbles. The text is on the accompanying page. It alternates map/left -> walkthrough/right.

As you can see, this game has a very complex narrative. Also some fakemon, alluded to in the random encounter list. I don't have drawings of any of these any more.

On to the second town, and the first gym apparently. Which also has grass and a really small route following it.

>>24828475
And this is the accompanying walkthrough. I do happen to remember that Sayjn was a cute spider-looking thing that evolved into one of two cocoons then into a butterfly or a bigger spider. Maybe this was closer to RS release, I do remember my cousin playing it in Japanese.

Oh boy a radio tower! So original! Also a Flying gym and a strong moral message.
9/28
>>24828506
>Get TM 05 Kamehameha
Also fly, so we can go back to those other two towns we visited super easily???
10/28
>>24828509
So this town apparently has some sort of amusement park? The the day care route is boring as shit.
11/28
>>24828514
And it seems the walkthrough just stops here. Oh well, we'll never get to find out the stunning conclusion to this epic tale.
12/28
>>24828521
Forgot image. The maps continue, kind of. And you get to battle a Dark type gym on a boat. Maybe the police station isn't a coincidence.

I am so glad young me clarified how to say Woray Town's name, I would never have guessed otherwise.
14/28
>>24828534
Woah, this time the route comes before the town! Also, a lot of badly applied white-out it seems.
15/28
>>24828540
Ah yes, Famranch, the town pronounced "Fom-ranch". No wonder I was clarifying because clearly these don't follow conventional English.
16/28
>>24828547
Here we are at the seventh town, also home to the 5th gym and the legendary Ragnarok berr- I mean seed.
17/28
>>24828556
It's called Moss-er-ook apparently.
18/28
>>24828560
Whoops we somehow got to the Elite Four building. I'm 90% sure that male symbol in the bottom right is labelled "gary".
19/28
>>24828566
It's in a town called Bazuakaine, which sounds kind of awesome. The league is called the Pablo league for some reason though???
20/28
>>24828575
We're up to the post game content now, with this island and this crater you couldn't go to before idk why. I could have sworn there were gyms here but I may be mistaken. Check out that awesome conch shell 50ft high though.
21/28
>>24828581
Again, I'm glad I provided these pronunciation guides, otherwise I'd never have said "South" right.
22/28
>>24828583
Oh, post game dungeons, neat! Except, one isn't drawn and the other is tiny af and needs Kamehameha to be traversed?
23/28
>>24828587
And yet another post game town with more bad white-out and a tiny route that is probably water?
24/28
>>24828595
Now that the game is over, have some data. Like the gym rosters. It's a bit hard to read so if anyone wants me to transcribe then please say so.
25/28
>>24828598
Here's the Elite Four and a sample of the battle screen, with its mysterious HYPER meter.
26/28
>>24828604
There was a whole two page spread of the type chart but that was mostly the same as it is now, so I only included the BRAND NEW TYPES on the following page. Also, some of the gym layouts and leader designs. Emma is wearing a bicycle helmet probably?
27/28
>>24828606
And to round out the autistic little dump, we have the remaining gym leaders and a summary of the status conditions, including the wonderfully balanced BLINDNESS condition which reduces you chance of hitting to 1 in 55. I sure am glad I didn't keep Constricted or else this game would be broken.
28/28
>>24828616
Forgot pic again.
That's pretty cool desu senpai
It's clear you have put a lot ofautisminto this. Have you designed gym badges?
someone make a romhack out of this
>>24828621
EXPLODING KNEES
>>24828621
>these FF designs
OP this is the most adorable thing I've seen on the board in a long time. Thank you.
>>24829634
They're on this page >>24828598 sorta in the middle. You can also see the names of several mystery fakemon here; who knows what the fuck "Quosuk" or "Khira" was.
