Miltank was harder in the originals because moves weren't explained, Physical/Special wasn't explained, it was hard to tell Rollout was a rock type move considering they kept saying "FLANNERY USES NORMAL TYPES", and tying into "Moves weren't explained" was that kids didn't understand that a move could get stronger each turn (unless you grabbed Fury Cutter but then how would you know it applied to other moves too?). The only reason Gold/Silver/Crystal Miltank was hard was because the internet was not nearly as readily available as back then, and sites documenting moves and such didn't exist.
