Have you ever wanted the hypothetical Pokemon game you and all your friends talked about when you were 12 and browsing invisionfree forms? You wanted a 'darker' story, right? To prove to the cool kids that Pokemon wasn't just for kids, you wanted something with violence in it, right? And remember when character death and how many hot girls it had was how you judged whether your new favourite cartoon was 'mature' or not?
Pokemon Rejuvenation has you covered. Join us
We're going to do a quick recap since board-cleaning volunteers wiped out original thread 5 yesterday.
After we beat the last gym leader, some woman who proudly boasted about how much better she was than Kanto/Johto gym leaders while relying on some kid who's been a trainer for a few days to fight off a Giratina for her, we travel to the next route, encountering our required does of ebin 9gag humour in the process
We discovered the next town completely empty, and it turned out the whole place was a trap to ambush us. We wind up captured....
And then we get sent to a faraway prison, where we run into the person we're looking to meet to fix our snag machine, a advanced and probably illegal device cooked up on the spot by a super special donut steel who also attracted shinies, and had an all-shiny team.
Surprise, surprise, like nearly every other female character in this game, this one is a bitch too.
The prison is surprisingly comfy, but there's an obvious air of unease.
Goign to repost a few screens, For some reason, there's a whole bunch of gym leaders captured, with none of them seeming to actually deserve the title if they got captured.
Like Reborn before it, in this game every fucking Tom Dick and Harry is a gym leader.
And here, we meet another one, Valerie. Despite being able to swim in freezing-cold water, she doesn't go off far enough to just user her Pokemon and escape to get help.
For some reason, our Pokeballs were never confiscated though we were captured, Instead, they're somehow jammed.
As you can see, this game is full of likeable characters.
Huge Ego bitch theorizes that some sort of jamming signal is disabling our Pokeballs, and is sure to tell us in a very polite way that respects us.
Conveniently enough, we find a signal antenna nearby. Despite it obviously being a bad idea, huge ego bitch decides to rip it out of the ground right away, triggering a reaction that no one could have predicted.
Everyone happily flees while we're rooted to the ground and have to take the blame. What a great group of friends. Really making me want to help them out here.
So, we're summoned to the warden's office, where he very politely introduces himself. So apparently, the flying grunts we saw are called
are called DEATHWINGS
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Because of how much we've been fucking up Xen's shit we're now considered a very important target. When we blew up the lab several threads ago, some bitch by the name of Madame X got mad enough to want us dead.
And then suddenly, she just wants everyone locked up here for some reason.
Again with super special oc donut steel.
Also, this bitch has a habit of killing her own grunts when mad, apparently. Not edgy enough otherwise.
He likes how we don't talk at all. That's why we're complaining her instead.
He then casually reveals that our acquaintance, the fighting girl with a habit of forcing fights on us unexpectedly, is being tortured with Raichus.
Can't have a game be mature without torture, after all.
It's actually a pretty nice place, prison aside. That's a blizzard going on otuside the building at the bottom panel.
So we go back to find the group of gym leader fucks, and surprise surprise, princess huge ego won't accept responsibility for setting me up.
For some reason, we care about our acquaintance. Well, okay.
A good point is raised about why she's being tortured for fuckknows reason.
We try to figure out where she's being kept, the conclusion being haha we don't know
It's clearly a pretty laid back prison, especially when people can just walk in like that.
Someone called Emma, who's been swimming in freezing water for an hour. Sounds believable.
Warden wants to add her to the collection, but Emma, having learned a lesson from spirited away, asks to work for him instead.
She emphasises her neutrality, and eventually manages to secure a safe position. No word on if her parents are here transformed into Grumpigs.
There's a big dramatic sound effect as this suddenly goes across the screen. No, really.
We awaken to Emma outside our cell. For some reason, she pronounces 'puppet' as 'poppet'. The fuck is that supposed to be for?
Our acquaintance has been made a tiny more bearable, having been literally shocked into silence.
So we've been given a job for today. If we try to go to the courtyard not related to what we need to do, we get shocked. Meaning, we'll be sent back to our cell and have some money stolen by guards.
Saki the huge ego bitch has yet another person to introduce us to, disappointed that seeing her behaviour hasn't resulted in me dying from a brain tumour yet.
Meanwhile, Emma asks Neved if he has a thing for torturing young girls. He tries in vain to deny it.
In trying to insist that he does not have a torture fetish, he reveals that he too has a daughter, and apparently joined the super evil team for her sake.
Also, he's barely known Emma for a day and is already saying he 'enjoys her presence'. Whoa there.
As for why we still have our Pokemon? Orders from this Madame X herself, again. They may be trying to bait us into a riot.
With the purpose of going final solution on us.
Well, okay, then.
So they set us up because they didn't know if they could trust us. Well, okay, now they know for sure I'm going to fuck them up first chance I get.
Since our pokeballs are disabled from a jamming signal, we can get away from it in order to reenable them. One such area is here.
Which, again, begs the question of why the water gym leader, the person able to swim away in arctic water didn't just get far enough to ride her Pokemon and get help.
Our pokemon screen from the start menu was previously disabled, but it's accessible again once we get here.
And here we meet a Braixen, who for some reason is able to speak. Saki proceeds to fail to hide her penchant for furfaggotry.
She comes up with an explanation as to why they haven't just sent out their pokemon here and fought back.
This is implying this was a wild Braixen just before they got captured, I suppose.
I love maymays
>lol
baka
Some secret cut off part of the castle exists, but no one, not even the warden, seems to be able to access it.
Just then, we're noticed missing for too long and have to hurry back.
Also, something possibly related to gen 5. One of N's caretakers was named Anthea, the other named Concordia.
In response to questioning from a guard, this woman decides that making them more suspicious is a good idea.
Anyway, suddenly Emma comes by, taking a break in the garden. Saki offers to actually help us out if we talk to her ourselves.
Emma turns away as we try to ask her about the weather, possibly hiding some kind of crush. Before we can reciprocate, Valeries comes bitching.
How dare Emma try her best to preserve herself when the other option amounts to a suicide with nothing gained, yeah she sure is deplorable
Emma proceeds to burn waterbitch, at least.
>Saki made the machine for the Braixen to speak
>hey guys this is my Oc her name is Saki and she's a super genius she can make machines to make pokemon talk also she's super wacky and smart so she doesn't have to be polite to peasants hahaha don't steal!111!
This is Saki's idea of distracting a guard, acting so retarded they become angry enough to get strokes and die.
Conveniently enough, when they try to shoot her with the laser, it misfires, opening a new path for us. We'll still need to dig a set of stairs up.
So we get a mining kit to do it. Unfortunately, this is the only instance we can just dig stairs up ever.
The path leads to some sort of heated cave. We're not alone
Is that..?
Oh fuck, it's our mother. Finally, after 5 threads. There she is.
Apparently, the reason she was captured and the ship crashed with no survivors was because they wanted her to work on this machine.
The admins banter among themselves.
Oh, and apparently once this Madame X comes, all of us are going to fucking die. The method is unclear.
Meanwhile, this Nastasia bitch is being a cunt to our mother. We'll have to remember to fuck her up for this.
Oh, and. apparently they're getting some kind of new recruit. This special snowflake gets to start off as an executive, for some reason.
As our mother leaves, she sees us. For the first time in a long while, we make eye contact.
Thank you for ruining the mood, you no-good furbait shitmon.
Madame X is their boss? Damn, who knew
It seems like the heat in this room is coming from this machine, which is overheating.
This problem can be traced to the machine's horribly inefficient coding, like a Bethesda game.
Braixen, however, suggests that it's deliberate, like a Bethesda game.
And because of that, apparently it's only a matter of time until the machines blows up. Which should be a good thing, since this is where the Pokeball jamming signal is coming from, except it would probably blow up the whole island.
So the next step in our mother's master plan was to crash this island with no survivors. Unfortunately, that means we'll be expected in the wreckage. We decide that we have to deactivate the signal by cutting the wires instead.
Despite the fact that burning cables shouldn't really do anything other than destroy the cables, Braixen refuses to do jack shit. Naturally, the work is left to us to find something we can use to cut them.
Having not learned their lesson, the guards haven't just thrown her into the sea yet. Useful for us.
Also, now that we have a mining kit ,we can mine glowing rocks for stuff. I reset for a moon stone, and Cradily is a neat pokemon too.
So we have to find the antenna that got ripped off. This guard, presumably having suffered brain damage from being hit by it, is now creepily attached.
>if you didn't get the implication
TL note: negotiate means ambush
Fortunately, the poor shmuck doesn't think about bringing backup with him.
Outside of the signal range, we're capable of beating him up. We rob him of his companion, and, judging by the last panel, Adam kills him or something.
I appreciate the subtlety, because in earlier version you could even see the guard's bloodied corpses lying around in a similar event. No, really.
>LOL
And somehow, this super special mechanic turns a signal antenna into a laser cutter.
We're suddenly interrupted by this, and have to hide the thing. Even though the hideout is pretty much the same distance, we have to hide it where she said because she says so. Bitch.
So we hide the cutter and go back to our cell. And the moment we do, we're locked back in. There's suddenly an early curfew today, which for some reason sends our plans into disarray.
Even though we shouldn't know just how fucked things are going to be, we perform drastic measures anyway and dig through our cell.
>run prison
>let prisoners handle and keep digging kits
Meanwhile, Emma continues trying to ask the warden what the fuck is going on here.
From yesterday's thread:
>cannot find a budew, kill a shiny wurmple instead
>buizel with sonicboom too OP
>give up on budew, try to aim for vileplume with toxic/venoshock/giga drain/dazzling gleam or moonlight; if possible
>Gloom is suddenly MVP by not giving a fuck about Parental Bond Galvantula and helping a lot against Keta
I also call bullshit on Kecleon quest.
It's mostly luck-based, since it spawns you at random place. It could spawn you near the ladder, it could spawn you in Kekleon's line of sight.
Which is another part of bullshit. They're faster than you, and they will fuck you the second you get in their line of sight.
This is 101% raw luck-based mission.
Okay, so they do want to kill us all. And apparently, when 'chaos' strikes or people die, some magic energy is released that they want.
So they're really going full six quadrillion on us.
And suddenly, Neved asks his new comfort woman if she wants to join the evil team.
As for why our cells are being searched, apparently it's a ruse, they just want the prisoners in their cells.
Looks the the guards are part of the master plan too. They want us to fight it out like some kind of battle royale for that magic energy farm.
Or wait, no, we're not going to be killed, just going to get our souls sucked out or something. How comforting.
Meanwhile, this guy carries on trying to get in position as Emma's sugar daddy.
>>24808471
I speedhacked through it till I got lucky. It's not too important anyway, you can wait until you find an amulet coin and farm breeders for money.
muh daughter
muh right and wrong
And here's where they discover I've escaped.
>>24808487
Isn't it harder with speedhack though?
These guys wander around as they please.
Also
>finally kill a Kekleon because Fury Swipes don't have 100% accuracy
>12k exp
but it's not christmas yet
Neved aims to use Aelita as baiting, thinking that we particularly care.
And, oh shit. Final solution day isn't tomorrow, it's today.
Shit's going to go down. I hope people are here, if not I might wait till later. This is the best/worst part.
>>24808497
2x speed.
I just did it over and over until I got lucky and spawned near stairs.
As we dig out of our cell and find some tunnels, we come across a familiar face.
It's the pianist from the beginning of the game, the one who dropped a piano on a Deoxys-A before presumably being made to reenact a sadpanda graphic novel. She gives us a way out, back into the courtyard.
>>24808505
>all these 'eh' reward for this thing
Also, Kek's script causes gltiches.
1. Game sets KEKleon as your last Poke Center. This can led to you getting healed when you enter actual PC.
2. You don't lose money (?) when losing battles.
...if I recall, there's no stones until prison, amirite?
And here, a stealth segment. Not too bad, since the guards don't fucking move around. In earlier versions breaking out of the jail when we got imprisoned at the hick town involved a stealth sequence with EVERY fucking inhabitant walking in a random pattern.
Also, maybe because it's the snow cover, but all those guards perched on the battlements can't see us.
>>24808522
You can find a dusk stone on the odd path, north of hick town.
Scene cuts to some dank cave where Aelita is being held. Emma is defecting. She frees her, and tells her what to do.
Meanwhile, we're at the machine room, busy trying to cut off the jamming signal. The island's system thinks this is a huge power failure, and every cell is opened for prisoners to unleash hell.
Just at the right time, the admins come.
>>24808534
Well, Dusk Stone is not going to be useful right now.
I might replace Arbok with Chandelure but I am not sure.
I do need Leaf Stone for my MVP, though.
Is Venoshock available as a TM in current version?
Our mother, too.
Now that our pokeballs are enabled again, we can give them a good smack for what they've done.
Unfortunately, we're made to fight the lesser of two cunts. Which is okay, since we stomp her easily. Looks like this one runs a monodark team, similar to Ren, Wonder what happened to that butthurt fag, anyway.
>>24808552
>useful TMs
>available
Haha
Our mother is almost as skilled as we are, and easily beats up the other Xen admin, sending them fleeing. The red one throws a vague threat our way before she runs like a little bitch. Eh, I'm sure it doesn't mean anything.
For emphasis on how BLOODY and VIOLENT it is outside, there's this red haze. Our mother confides in us her wishes for the future. We can't tell her to keep quiet, it makes her sound like the unimportant rank and file soldier about to die.
Her backsprite, and her lead Pokemon is a Sylveon. We're even wearing matching clothes.
Eh, I'm sure that threat doesn't mean anything. Right?
>>24808562
Well what the fuck I am supposed to run on this thing?
Moonblast is Oddish only and at a rather high level (43)
In spite of being a F-ing Poison-type, it naturally learns only Toxic, Poison Powder and Acid. The first one wasn't even a thing until ORAS.
>hahaha just free spirited
Our mother is a lot more polite than most other characters in this game. We run into the sailor from the game's beginning, and we're almost ready to get off this place.
>>24808580
>F-ing
Yeah, well, if it's any consolation you won't be fighting anything you need sludge bomb for.
And now our mother tells us to go help our 'friend' while she does other stuff. We can't just say fuck that and keep following her, even if it is pretty much what most people would do here.
Y-you too
As we barge our way through the castle and to the warden's room, we're stopped by Emma. For some reason, she turns to look at the security camera before fighting us.
>all shiny team
Hold the fuck up, we've seen this before
It doesn't look like she cares a lot about what we're doing.
Boss warning.
That PC is very useful, for reasons revealed later.
Neved tries to intimidate us with empty threats. We just respond by staring blankly. Oh, and Aelita is here.
This is where the sick fuck stops the denial and fully admits he enjoys torturing underage girls. We're about to return the favour to Josef Fritzl here.
Damn Ghetsis what did they do to your hair
It's always hailing here, which gives his Pokemon a slight advantage. He mainly uses ice.
Fortunately for us, Aelita is a mono-fighting user, so even if you don't do much, she's perfectly capable of soloing him while you stand around and watch.
Suddenly, this rude Yveltal interrupts our conversation.
So this is Madame X. Figures they'd give the super scary evil team leader a box legend. The edgebird itself, to boot.
She talks big, and because she doesn't act retarded like nearly everyone else before, she actually manages to be quite intimidating.
So, the first fight against the evil team's leader. Let's go.
I mean, if I were Lance or Clair and had my head/body separated and mixed with each other while my face got removed, I'd be pissed enough to kill a fuckton of people too.
We've got a strong team. We'll do alright.
Oh.
Okay
>mandatory losses
Fuck this and fuck you. Just to spite the dev, I'm going to beat this fight, and I have a strategy.
Serious shit is about go go down though, so unless enough people are here I'm going to be pausing for now. You all need to see what's about to happen live.
>>24808657
>mfw she's like 'this is impossible' if you prepare for her and win FEAR or other shit
>>24808670
Is carbink (sturdy+flash) still available? That and your clefairy could probably win.
>>24808696
I think so, but that's very luck based. I have something a lot more reliable.
>>24808678
>goes into the side forest
>moo moo milk in exchange for oran berry
this is broken.
is it seriously 100 milks for 2000?
>>24808712
If you're willing to keep pressing c for a long time.
>>24808718
>mfw I have super skills of pressing 7-8 times per second
This is more broken than the Castelia Cone in B2W2.
>>24808732
>suddenly a Lv. 1 Budew
well obviously I had to find you now when I already I am almost done with the team building.
>>24808505
>the time of Rukia's execution has been changed
Why do these fangames always put you against ultra high level pokemon intended for mandatory losses even when there's always a way or twelve to beat them regardless?
>>24808798
For muh dramatic story
Anyway, we'll continue in about fifteen minutes. I want some witnesses to the madness about to unfold.
>>24808809
my body is ready mate
Apparently all these fangames are taking from the almighty Megaman X6 school of challenge:
I.E. Having everything stacked against you, putting forth situations most people aren't capable of handling without knowing about and specifically using the cheap way out in which most of the challenge is gone no matter how much the game intends otherwise.
>>24808798
You remember how you loved it whenever you had an unwinnable battle in any other RPG? That wonderful feeling of wasting all your healing items, only to realize that none of it was useful?
They want to capture that feeling again.
>>24808809
I'm hoping that the game acknowledges that you stomped her ass. Would make my impression of the creator of this thing rise a notch or two.
>>24808851
Yes, the dialogue changes a bit. As I said before, she is like 'this is impossible'
Also, muh free Gothita for deciphering Gofura language in the mansion.
>>24808899
No extra rewards or anything?
Shame.
I'll always remember Super Robot Wars OG2 and the first Inspector battle. Everyone tells you to get the fuck out, but it is possible to actually beat them. At that point they'll break the 4th wall and sorta congratulate you and give you a bunch of really fucking good equippable weapons.
>>24808919
I am not sure about v6 as this is my first go through, but you didn't get anything in v5 other than that.
I take it that in order to make a reasonably good pokemon fangame, at least in the scope of challenge this game was aiming for, is to rebalance all the pokemon ala Blaze Black/Volt White so that you have a better variety of usable pokemon and that we can allow using OU pokemon without breaking the intended challenge.
Instead, we have a case where the developers took the easy way out in a variety of ways and now we have a world where fucking Magikarp are rarer than lengendaries for god's sake.
>>24808941
Magikarp isn't in the game since v2, I think.
Alright, let's carry on.
The first time I played through this, the fight wrecked me thoroughly. Even though my Prankster Whimsicott managed to take down two Pokemon, it didn't have enough PP to keep surviving.
I'm not going to lose twice.
There a few things we need for our strategy. Because we don't have a focus sash, we need a Pokemon with sturdy. We also need something with endeavor, and a priority move. FEAR, originally standing for Fucking Evil Annoying Rodent when it was first used as a focus sash Rattata, which has become a strategy all on its own.
Phanpy doesn't have sturdy, but donphan does. You can breed Endeavor to it from a Rattata which learns it at level 34, once you get a female offspring, buy a male Seel from the casino and level it till it learns ice shard.
Phanpys are extremely rare, 1% encounter in the no immigrants allowed town. It's the only thing we can use, though.
Say hello to the squad of Jankillers, the finest anti-bullshit pokemon I can come up with.
To maximize their usage, I need them with HP low enough to be restored fully by a berry juice,so they can be used twice in a single fight.
This is where these reverse candies come in handy. They' were introduced in reborn to bring down the level of your own pokemon if they go over the level cap, but they have other uses. You can use them instead of a move relearner to get a move you missed out on, or for... this purpose.
>>24808978
Wait.
Isn't your video up on the YouTube or somewher?
I saw this tactic before.
>also mfw Mansion Wobbuffet tries to Destiny Bond but PoisonPowder doesn't trigger it; Gloom learns Giga Drain and Herdier evolves
Then there's the problem of hail. The scourge of gen 5 caves is here to solve it for us.
At level 33, Roggenrola learns sandstorm. Since Donphan is a ground type, it's immune to sandstorm. This also means we don't always have to use a turn attacking with priority, since the sandstorm kills the endeavored Pokemon for us. One Turn Rock's purpose is still mainly to get rid of the hail by replacing it with sandstorm, though. For better effect, I managed to dig up a smooth rock to increase sandstorm's duration.
Bottom right is the team we must use to fight both Neved and Madame X right after. Fortunately, since Neved is a tag fight, we are healed immediately after. We must put the Rock in front, and must not let both Gaga and Fran die. The Donphans cannot be allowed out until the are ready sot they don't gain xp or use their items.
The fight with Neved goes a bit differently. After the Rock dies I just have Gaga stall while Aelita does work for us and demolishes his 3/5 weak to fighting team
>>24808996
What? I don't upload to youtube and haven't posted this anywhere but here. Did someone else use this?
And here it is.
fuck you, Lance/Claire hybrid.
Fuck you, SuperJanBro.
Yveltal goes down. Success.
Next up, a Garchomp. It can have either sand veil or rough skin, both of which are bad. If rough skin, Donphan dies after using endeavor on it. If sand veil, both attacks can miss.
Fortunately, Fran also has priority, and doesn't miss. She gets the fuckload of experience from the Garchomp.
Volcarona KO'd.
Salamence KO'd.
Hydreigon gives trouble as it uses body slam and paralyzes us. Luckily, we never get disabled and lose a turn.
Hydreigon KO'd.
Goodra of a sex that triggers our special shitposter, KO'd.
Success.
And fuck you, again.
>haha lol I'm stronger than my pokemon actually
What the fuck is this?
All our effort was mainly for our own pride in not accepting a mandatory loss. Aside a few lines, nothing changes. Suddenly, this bitch just tosses us off the castle herself. We fall.
And get stopped in midair. How convenient.
soradumxD psychic girl Nim is here just in time and saves us.
>>24809048
That's a pretty horrible reward for beating a bullshit team.
We didn't ask for her to come, but okay, she just saved us.
A happy reunion, and our mother is back with us too. We waste a little too much time with this, and Madame X is screaming in fury.
>>24809057
I'll bet you anything phanpy is suddenly going to become unavailable in the next version, too. This fucker has patched this team many times to make it more and more unbeatable. Last time, Yveltal only ever used two turn moves, so you could alternate between protecting and attacking.
She's pretty butthurt about being beaten up. Her tears are delicious.
Not sure if we still 'make a fool' of her if we lose.
>>24809074
>This fucker has patched this team many times to make it more and more unbeatable.
I fucking hate things like that.

>is going to become a gym leader

>creates a highly valuable and likely illegal advanced piece of technology from 'spare parts lying around'
>hasa super special secret technique
>lost her real parents mysteriously

Yes, he did that. To a few guards in the old version, actually. That was changed to doing it implied off screen, as seen here:
>>24808445
Melia sue explains her presence now.
She was apparently 'sent' to investigate the great secret only alpha bitch knows about.
She further comfirms the final solution plan was to drain everyone's energy, or something, which might explain why katana weeaboo has a Yveltal..
I'm just going to throw names at Madame X until I find one that fits.
So, Melia sue faked her own death, with the help of SPACEA AND TIEMPA GREAT NAMES YOU BRAINDEAD FUCK
SPACEA
AND
TIEMPA
I WONDER WHAT THEY'RE RELATED TO
Super special OC now speaks to us personally. She claims to have taken the moment to 'strike back', despite doing nothing but shouting a clover and cool line at the villains after they were stunned. Thank you very much, asshole. And thank you very much for presuming to know what my mother thinks, you buffoon.
And apparently, being at the prison magically fixed our snag machine. At least we don't need any help from the Saki bitch.
>>24809285
>God knows where
Wait, I am confused. Didn't everyone use Arceus instead of God? Is the creator this inconsistent?
And now she challenges us to a full, proper battle. I am going to fuck her up. Fuck you. And fuck you, Saki. Fuck everyone.
>>24809317
No, they didn't, only the Arceus cultists.
Another guy loves to substitute 'god' in colloquial sayings for 'Arceus' though. He's the guy who made Zeta/Omicron and Insurgence.
>>24809326
Guess I got my shitty romhacks mixed up.
Special mary sue also gets a special animation where she tosses off her cape. somewhat lewd.
>find dimensional rift from early
>lv. 50 gyarados
>win only because it runs out of OP thrash variant and after it runs out, I paralyze it.
Trainer class, Enigma.
She's blond and wears black, like the third gym leader, whose class was Esoteric and was named Marianette. Not a coincidence, I'm assuming.
She starts with the ruse fox, which unlike nearly every other Essentials game works properly here. At least the creator's raging boner for his waifu resulted in some good. As you can see, all shinies.
Also, for some very strange reason, she is the only major character to not have a full team of 6.
Note how katana weeaboo had a Yveltal, and the icon for Rejuvenation is a Xerneas, as seen in every screenshot. I'll bet it's going to go to her.
Melia sue's changed since last time we've seen here. She's far more willing to talk smack. And not in the randumb hyper gurl XD way like the last 3 times, even.
Suddenly, evil purple fog.
After the fog, the cold weather suddenly grows hot, and land appears in front of us. The ship stops suddenly, sending Saki flying off, hopefully never to return. Good riddance.
Somehow, we've been transported all the way south of the region.
For some reason, these people actually want to rescue Saki instead of leaving her to be eaten by a hungry Victreebel or something, so we have to follow along. And to navigate the upcoming area, we need to surf.
For that, we need a badge that coincidentally this gym leader can give out.
>>24809388
I am slowly catching up to you.
I am on my way to rekt GearaRPG.
>>24809388
What a coincidence.
Melia says we are strong as fuck and should be able to win easily anyway. Well, thanks.
Water gym leader then decides to fight where she can have a bullshit advantage to make it harder for us. Thanks. She'll bring you to an island off the shore.
It has a very high chance of raining there, too, because the bullshit field isn't already enough of an advantage. Keep reloading the area until it's not raining anymore.
Look, I don't want to talk about it anymore, let's just figSENKENTSUKEN BOY I SURE LOVE KILL LA KILL BETTER KILL LA KILL THE MOOD BY INSERTING A WHOLLY UNNEEDED REFERENCE
>>24809401
So why can't we use those boats instead of Surfing?
And can you actually grind before fighting whatsherface?
So, the 5th gym leader. Trainer class, Marine Biologist. So far, her Pokemon fit the theme–
>Smogonwash
Yeah sure you're a marine biologist
From the readme:
Grounded non-water types' Speed is halved, except for Swift Swimmers
* Ground attacks always fail
* Spikes and Toxic Spikes sink into the water, vanishing
* Dive lasts only one turn
* Activates Swift Swim, Hydration, Torrent
* Aqua Ring restores 1/8 Max HP each turn (from 1/16)
* Grounded Pokemon with Dry Skin and Water Absorb gradually restore HP
* Whirlpool deals 1/6 Max HP damage per turn (from 1/8) and confuses the target
* Water and Electric moves increase base power x1.5
* Fire moves against grounded Pokemon decrease base power x0.5
* Nature Power becomes Whirlpool
* Camouflage changes user's type to Water
* Secret Power may lower speed
>* Whirlpool deals 1/6 Max HP damage per turn (from 1/8) and confuses the target
>* Activates Swift Swim, Hydration, Torrent
>* Water and Electric moves increase base power x1.5
>Grounded non-water types' Speed is halved, except for Swift Swimmers
Fair and balanced especially when all electric pokemon available up to this point will die in one surf
I waste no time and just send out my monster, Gaga. Minimize, Cosmic Power, Stored Power.
Everything dies.
>>24809412
We need to surf deep in the jungle to the west, can't carry boats there. And we can't swim for some reason, even though we clearly do so here:
>>24808036
What stops Gaga from tearing through her completely is when she hits level 46, beyond our level cap.
She refuses to obey the Stored Power, and for that she gets critted by the Milotic through the boosted defenses instead of just killing it outright. Every other team member has to pitch in to kill the Milotic, but it's done in the end.
>>24809439
>Ada got 880 for winning
>880
I remember you saying something about money being tight in this game at some point, but this is just silly.
I like it how these super special bullshit fields have like a quadrillion different ultra specific effects compared to normal canon weather effects. Almost like these fangame makers have no idea that convolution doesn't equal complexity.
Also, does any of these fields even appear outside of their respective gym battles? Seems like a waste of a bunch of man-hours programming in these ultra-convoluted field effects.
And then right after, we get surf as Melia flies by.
And that's that.
It's worth noting that in older versions, that boat wasn't there, meaning that if you got here by talking to the gym leader and don't have a surf capable pokemon, you are fucked. I'm not sure how long it took to fix.
>>24809459
Yes, yes I did. Everyone's a fucking jew.
And one last thing.
The Pokemon that our mother wanted to give us at the beginning? It's here, a Mawile.
Unfortunately, with no mega stone, there is no reason to use Mawile when we have stronger fairy and steel types in Clefable and Excadrill.
Into the box it goes. And trying to surf away to wallow in our indignance about our mothyr being killed by a weeaboo sword results in these currents blocking the way.
That's it, then. That's all for now. This has taken a lot of time and stamina, so I might not even continue from here. If I do, it's going to be in much less detail than before. I sure hope the ride has been fun, and that people will be inspired to make more fangames learning from the mistakes of these.
>>24809464
Reborn used them everywhere, and the way it was executed made them actually pretty fun, it was a lot easier to turn it to your side and they felt more like a natural result of the environment, not arbitrary bullshit forced on you like this game.
Especially since fields almost only appear in gym battles here.
Also, also like it how most of these gym leaders in Reborn and Rejuvenation (and probably Insurgence too) have like most of the gym leaders be random randumb girls with tragic backstories while all the sparse male leaders get nothing, if not outright killed in some fashion.
It's like these fangamers wanted to make a bunch of waifus, enough to fill a harem anime, or at least to flaunt their miniature SJW pandering dicks around given all the pronoun and tumblr shit with Reborn.
>>24809490
Am I the only one bothered by the use of the word 'spawn' here?
It sounds weirdly negative when talking about the kid of someone's prized Pokemon.
>>24809459
This is a joke especially since you get more for beating Aelita before 4th Gym.
Also this is where the game ended when I last played it. Is there anything further ahead now?
In reborn's case given that it's a whole team led by a girl, it's some weeaboo who wanted to reenact her kawaii animu and later found an audience in tumblr pandering too.
In Rejuvenation's case, it's one guy who wants a waifu harem, and has absolute fucking shit taste.
Have a small epilogue. Whatever happened to Ren?
>fix his shitty-ass hick town for him
>get butthurt enough to call it a betrayal
Fuck you, Ren.
Fuck you, Jan.
>>24809524
Three more badges.
>>24809499
Yeah, me too. Eh, I'm jaded to these kinds of things now.
>>24809536
>three more
Well shit, that's alot of things.
I suppose offspring would be a better word here...?
>>24809409Senketsu is an actual japanese wordit means fresh bloodSenketsuken doesn't actually mean anything though so it's most likely the writer just took a random japanese word and added ken to it to make it look cooler
>>24809552
Offspring is definitely what I'd use here.
No negative connotation or whatever.
>>24809558Ken can mean Sword. Or Fist. Or Dog. Depending on the kanji you use. So he probably meant Fresh Blood Sword. Granted, this still sounds pretty dumb.
>>24809528
Fucking called it. I'm pretty sure our PC, Melia Stu here, and that ice girl from the castle make 3 of the 4 "lights' in those dumb prophecies. Not sure what makes the 4th. My mind skims through those gazillion idiotic characters. Can't tell them apart from each other.
Anyway, who wants to bet that Crescent bitch with the gothitelle is behind everything in the game, and the final boss fight with her is 5 lv100 legendaries and a super ultra powered gothitelle which manages to be more powerful than any of them somehow.
Who wants to bet that this game never gets finished? It's already laying down a bunch of shit 4 badges in, and we still only have 7 badges completed outta 18.
I bet the idea is some kind of Trails in the Sky/Kingdom Hearts clusterfuck, isn't it.
>>24809558
I'd like to believe it's a coincidence, but the version with these events came about around the height of Kill la Kill's popularity. And one look at the dev's profile indicates he's definitely enough of a weeaboo to have seen it.
If he wanted to name the sword something fancy, why Japanese? And why coincidentally the name of something in a hit anime of the season?
>>24809575
Ice girl from the castle?
Anyway, I'm sure lights are us, Melia Sue, Nim and maybe Ren suddenly in some tweest no one sees coming returns to our side.
>>24809592
Even Reborn started pushing gym fights together near the current version. i'm, not sure how much longer this can survive as a one man project.
Anyway, here's a look at our team at the point I've actually played to. Roselia replaced by Breloom, and We finally have a fire type in Chandelure. The event to get a Litwick is pretty interesting and involves beating up the ghost of our mother.
Also, Madame X is like the most uncreative man-childish thing I've ever seen.
She has a scary box legend and 5 other random scary pokemon taken randomly from a hat.
Her name is obviously based on Madame BOSS from those old Pokemon Drama CDs or some shit.
She has a japanese sword and is much stronger than any pokemon ever because muh animes.
She probably has some kind of generic and/or bullshit tragic past considering her 'I've failed, father' speech if you beat her.
Her overworld sprite is one of the worst I've ever seen. It looks like some kinda black blob from what I can tell. Her battle sprite is not much better either.
Seriously, I could go fucking Plinkett on this bitch.
>>24809678
They also haven't explained the connection between her and our Melia Sue, they seem to know each other.
And yes, yes on all your points. You managed to put it in words.
I hate that every time OC Melia pops up, I think of the actually good Melia from Xenoblade.
>>24809766
Melia's actually bearable compared to all the other dumbfuck characters here. This is not necessarily a good thing.
>>24808633
I need an individual picture of the bottom left screen.
>>24809869
>>24808218
"Poppet" is old British slang for someone cute/ adorable.
I'm just jumping into this thread with no context and holy fuck, it's like reading a bad sprite comic authored by a 12-year old edgemaster.
>>24808117
>inconspicuous
I don't think they understand the concept of the word
>>24808312
I wonder how many special snowflake OCs a thing can have before it hits critical mass.
>>24808422
Oh, that's neat. I always enjoyed the mining stuff in DPPl
>>24809164
>Extremely laughable...and quite concerning
Yeah, that's my feelings about this situation and the guy who made it.
>>24809235
Well, you said it was going to become relevant, you weren't lying.
>>24809427
Ah, how pleasant it is to have a whole update without having to deal with bullshit fie--
Oh, for the love of fuck.
Also, a grand total of two of those things would be something a marine biologist would study. Good job, game maker guy, you can't even bother to put actual fish into the team of the person who studies them.
>>24810588
Thanks and checked.
Here, have one of mine too. I haven't found a moment to use it.
>>24811481
The real question should be how many special snowflake OCs does it take to get to the point that no one is special?
Holy fuck OP you are my hero for making it this far
Keep the content coming
>>24811610
When everybody is Super, nobody will be.
That being said, this is toeing that line. I already can't keep straight all the lelsorandumbxd girls there are in this. There's at least 4, I think, but they seem all the same.
God, I'm starting to wonder if legit good Pokemon fangames exist.
Not to be confused with ROM hacks.
So I just caught up with this playthrough and holy shit, writing in Rejuvenation is horrible. What's with all those unpleasant characters? Were they supposed to be funny? Does the author think that being an obnoxious, insensitive cunt is the pinnacle of human personality?
I thought Reborn's "hey, I'm Character #245 and my personality is that I'm gay/bi/whatever" was bad, but this is even more atrocious. Also, your playthrough feels strangely personal to me, because I usually name my characters Ada.
>>24809145Senketsuken literally means "Fresh Blood Sword"Not that I wouldn't put it beyond Jan to do something retarded like that, but this is just weeb edge.
>>24811837
Essentials is relatively new, we'll still have to wait for the more experiences devs to jump ship for it.
There are some very interesting ones like Godra, but they've only been updated to gen 5.
>>24811481
Everything on her team can be justified except for the Rotom-W out of nowhere. That one's just to conveniently exploit the bullshit electric attack boost.
>>24810607
Ooh, thanks.
>>24812898
Apparently so, yes. Even Reborn made a few characters likeable, mainly Cain, here we have no one we don't really want to strangle. Except maybe Marianette.I always name my characters names starting with A. Usually I don't play girls since being a guy makes it easier to be immersed, but the thread wanted it. Besides, this girl PC is cute.
>>24812932
In possibly the worst form.
>>24813068
You know, only the girl has any resemblance to the mother.I named mah boi Sans, because why not fucking play as Skelebro?
>mfw I don't give a shit about Narcissa's bullshit field because Glare and Toxic cripple most of her team
>>24812898
>Does the author think that being an obnoxious, insensitive cunt is the pinnacle of human personality?
Well it somehow keeps Seth MacFarlane on the air, so some people must.
Holy fucking shit
I just got to a part whereone of the grunts in the duo almost commits suicide by jumping off a mountain, then as she's standing at the edge Crescent teleports in and pushes her off
Hahahaha fucking hell, just when it seemed like he got over his edgy teen phase
>>24813517
Wow.
...So what are the chances of a Leaf Stone in the mining rocks? There few in the tunnel before Sheridan, but do they regenerate?
I really want Leaf Stone, and I had the weird luck of getting Gloom's other stone instead.
>>24813610
Apparently they regenerate every day. Just save in front of a rock and reset.
>>24813614
Thankfully I saved before, and now I am soft resetting the last rock on the beach.
I am not sure if it's better to reset with hammer or should I still use the pickaxe?how long is every day anyway.
>>24813619
It uses your computer clock.
"Have you seen the guy that looks like you?"
"Nah."
"Go on, then."
The zap script is still there, and it throws you into your cell.
This glitched detection happens in a few places, but it didn't allow for much. Here, on other hand...
>somehow get through Valerie's Lapras
>she has Milotic
>scald
FUCK YOUR POLITOED AND TIDAL WAVE.
>>24814037
>outstall Lapras
>almost full team on Milotic
>COMPETITIVE
FFFFFFFFFUCCCCCCKKKKKKKK YOUUUUUUU
>>24814072
>mfw it took using Ability Capsule on Arbok to win this battle
jesus fucking christ. this easily takes the cake of 'hardest battle ever'
>>24814242
That's not Life of Guardian's final boss.
>>24814544
Life of Guardian?
Never played that hack.
Anyway...
>this
ANYONE THAT EVER THOUGH ACID ARMOR IS A BAD MOVE, HAVE AT THIS!
>lv. 75 Conkeldurr
>brick break is still a 2HKO with +6 Defense
Well, at least the sidequest is done.
Vileplume gets more points for being useful.
>>24814624
So I can confirm 2 more non-mining stones.
One of the rewards for this quest is Sun Stone. In the part of jungle you unlock by completing there's a Leaf Stone.
>>24814624
Life of Guardians is the third Ruby Destiny hack, the final boss (as in true, true final boss because there are several bosses that could be considered "final") is a team of six mostly-Fakemon Legendariesthat happen to be separate from any other fights with those Legendaries, and these versions of the Legendaries have 255 in every stat.
>>24814661
There's a Water Stone in Secret Shore.
also.jesus fucking christ, good thing I picked Melia because I genuinely thought she is the strongest of the four.
otherwise I would be battling these two alone. AND ONE OF THEM IS PACKING A FUCKING MEGA MAWILE.
Aelita was right. This guy is a joke.
IT FEELS SO GOOD TO MEET SOMEONE WHO'S A JOKE FOR ONCE.
>>24815300
I picked her because I hated her the least. Even if she is super special OC, she's more bearable than THREE lelsorandumXD bitches.
Probably going to have a small update tomorrow. Going to highly condense stuff from now on, until it get to another amazingly ebin part.
I haven't played Pokemon Reborn nor Pokemon Rejuvination. Which one would you guys reccomend to play from those two?
>>24819453
Reborn, definitely. This one is essentially a ripoff that takes what's bad and amplifies it.
>>24819462
Alright thanks. Any other better pokemon fan games?
>>24819467
Not really, Reborn gave me a lot of things I want in fangames, just that it had a lot of bad shit too.
Your starter is going to be your only decent Pokemon in a long while, so don't pick something useless like Oshawott.
There is a reason why the only fangames non-weebs recommend are all difficulty/rebalancing hacks like Blaze Black/Volt White.
>>24820064
>non-weebs
>on a pokemon dedicated board
lmao
>>24819477
>first time through picked piplup because he's my favourite
>mfw the first gym
ended up having to grind prinplup to 19, get one of her mons to put me into torrent and just bubblebeam spam until her ace came out
>>24822177
It's actually not bad if you have a grass type, especially if it has leech seed, I've found. Just pack a flying resist for Emolga and something that hits harder than her Blitzle. I picked Turtwig, but Cherubi is probably even better because it gets leech seed and a healing move. Trubbish also trivializes most of the first part of the game with t-spikes.
>>24822177
Get a trubbish and use toxic spikes in every long fight.
>>24822294
And cherubi, since it's the first leech seed user you can get.
>>24822294
>>24822373
it's been a long while since i passed that point, currently breeding and EV training a few permanent members before the dark leader
a lot of longer and more difficult fights were easier thanks to prinplup and pachirisu, surprisingly prinplup rarely got rekt by the tangrowths
Have a small update in the meantime.
This is available the moment you get surf and gain access back to the mainland, but I didn't know that till later, so my team will be different from a proper update.
Surf around the amethyst cave, fighting some drones with regis, and eventually you'll find this Xen grunt and a massive computer. If you found a gemstone lying around, that's what you need.
It opens up an entrance to a cave, where this happens.
Our mother has no reason to be angry. We did everything we could. I'm sorry, alright? Go haunt the guy who made this game.
We must fend her off, the lingering regret. Seems to reflect the actual team she used.
Our mother was apparently a monofairy user, so Excadrill destroys her.
There we see the dev try to substitute S for $, forgetting that in Pokemon Essentials in turns into a P-like symbol instead.
The ghosts, uh, fuse.
Hope you didn't take too much trying to destroy your mother.
A
a level 70 Chandelure.
If you did this as soon as possible, your team would be around level 40-45.
And it turns into this. DEMON Chandelure, typing irrelevant becasuse it has Protean, but still Fire/Ghost. Excadrill manages to outspeed to do heavy damage before dying in one hit. Everyone else contributes with high speed or priority.
Sure, you're welcome.
>A ghost died, leaving a physical body to be dug up
>and was made a zombie
I guess the idea of what ghost pokemon are is open to interpretation but I'm pretty sure Chandelure is one of the most traditional-ghost kinds of ghost pokemon there are.
Well, anyway, this Litwick here is all that's left. I need a fire type for the final team member, so we take him in. I call him Balder.
>>24824478
Oh my god.And there's more. You can fight a Lv. 75 Conkeldurr and have to win against Lv. 70 Groudon when you're probably in your 50s.
The grunt gets his wish, just at the moment katana weeaboo knows he's been kicked out. And when she does, he
he vanishes. Fascinating. Team Xen has some nice benefits, ending your existence in this game like that as compensation.
If you explore a place requiring rock climb and have a pokemon with dig on your team, you find a ladder, then dig here to place the ladder to a secret area. Litwick will appreciate this.
And that's all for now.
>>24824496
The Conkeldurr fight gives you the chance to setup on his Timburr grunts, just be max defenses/speed/offenses by the time it comes out.
Groudon took a few tries but quick claw took it down. The real bitch is the Kyogre thanks to the bullshit field
>>24824505
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, but the Chandelure belongs to Narcissa, the ghost gym leader.
I'm not sure if it's supposed to imply we killed the Chandelure in the first place or not.
>>24827257
How do you even kill a ghost in first place?
>>24829707
Depends on how you see ghost pokemon. Some of them just seem like creatures with gas-like bodies, like Sableye or Jellicent. Then you have things like Yamask and Phantump.
