I'm also soft resetting the first run-away encounter for articuno on X, because apparently no one else on the planet has ever tried it.Probably wasting my time. But I wanna try for at least a bit longer.

My week was pretty productive. Finally Matsuda'ed a shiny Treeko with unburden and a shiny shellder not long after that. Going for a Cleffa now, had to choose between one in a Moon Ball or one with its HA. Went with HA.
I also managed to soft reset in my AS version for all 3 of the Regi trio as shiny, and then last night before my graveyard shift I snagged a shiny Latios as well. Can't really think of any other ones I'd want to soft reset for. Maybe a shiny Mewtwo in my Soul Silver but that would make me a madman.

I have never seen a shiny outside of event ones and I've played all the Pokemon games, most multiple times.

I've been trying to breed a shiny NidoranM with its HA for like a year. Six females and two males later I got a 6IV male with Poison Point the other day and called it quits. That's good enough.

Dude, over the span of 5 days I hatched 4 of those fuckers, because they kept coming out as Overgrow when I wanted Unburden. They averaged about 600-800 eggs inbetween each shiny. I piled on the shiny charm + the Matsuda method, and even then I spent practically all my free time between work on the Bike simulator.
I pray that my next shiny that requires a HA doesn't make me want to pull teeth.
By the way, someone just wonder traded me a just-hatched shiny Charmander with 5 IVs (Sp. Def was the lowest one) and a slew of egg moves. So if the guy who did that is here, thanks for that.
I'm currently at 1400+ for a rattata.
The folks breeding can obviously get quality mons, but what do you all do with wild-caught shinies? Use them ingame, box them as trophies, or what? Honestly curious.
