It's kinda disappointing that they hyped Greninjash so much, yet it had virtually no screentime in the episode. It was limited to one punch and that's it; hardly anyone took notice of the phenomena they'd just witnessed until the end of the episode, and the other Greninjas did so much more in battle that they overshadowed Ash's.
It doesn't help that what the first XYZ trailer pretty much showed every instance of Greninjash's appearance in the episode with little to no surprises left in the episode itself. They didn't even bother giving it his own background music. The way it was handled was so random and unfocused that it almost felt like a minor ocurrence among the (relatively) action-packed episode. I genuinely thought they'd try a bit harder, but even the Talonflame evolution blew it out of the water. If the Greninjash transformation hadn't happened right after the normal evolution to add a bit more hype, it'd definitely be the most underwhelming evolution in years. I hope they compensate by handling the Greninja arc they've been hinting at in the intro at least a bit more cohesively.
