Can we agree that mega fug and primals were an awful idea?
You know there's something wrong when you can pick any 2 legendaries but everyone only uses the same 3.

Then again, it is doubles. So super sun probably fits more builds than super weatherlock.

The gameplay of Doubles format is way different than 6v6 singles. Rayquaza is a borderline glass cannon, which have a much harder time when people can just outplay you through protecting and double targeting. Good bulk is practically a requirement here, and P-Groudon is by far the best tank in existence. So even with absurd power offered by 180 Base Atk + Life Orb, Rayquaza just cannot be as broken here as it is in 6v6. It's the same deal with setup moves being generally lackluster in official formats and M-Kangaskhan being more consistent than M-Salamence despite the latter being notably better under Smogon rulesets.

Yeah i don't see your point. Yes, they are massively overpowered, but that is not just a Primal form problem, that is gamefreaks overall problem nowadays. The seem unable to introduce something new to the game without letting it outshine everything, which is why we have the recent glut of power.

The rule is that you can bring 2 box legends per team, the rest (Cresselia and Landorus for example) are free from this limit.
So with this limit people are just filling their two spots with primals, fug and Xerneas. No Ho-oh, Mewtwo, Palkia, etc.
GF is known to not contain the powercreep but until now all ubers were roughly equal.
