Choice Scarf Dialga seems like it will be good.
Earth Power OHKOs PDon unless it's specially defensive, and if it's SpDef then it can't OHKO Dialga with Precipice Blades.
M-Ray gets OHKOed by either Draco Meteor or Ice Beam, even with Delta Stream. M-Ray can only OHKO Dialga with Adamant Outrage, but since you're scarfed it should be getting outsped anyway.
Xerneas gets OHKOed by Flash Cannon unless it's already boosted. Presumably you're not switching into it though so you should be able to Flash Cannon before it gets Geomancy off.
That's 3 move slots so you can still run Protect because best move in VGC.
I'll probably try it out, I never really liked using box legendaries though. This format seems like it's gonna be wack.

Event mons are banned because not everyone can get them, so to try to make things "fair", nobody can use them in competitions period. Box legends are the only ones who are banned for being too strong. At least until now.

I'm not trying to defend the rules here, but I'm pretty sure the reason for this is because event Pokemon are only available during a certain period of time so if a newcomer were to start playing VGC when, for example, a Mew distribution had just ended then it would be quite hard for them to legitimately get their hands on a Mew.
Why Deoxys is still banned is beyond me, though.

Every non-Pokemon TCG player would laugh in their face - if you missed the distribution it's your own fucking problem and nobody else's. Those Pokemon exist in the game for a reason and not being able to use them at all outside showing your friend your pokemans is a joke.
