You never tried to soft-reset a legendary, did you?
This takes about an hour, tops. If you want a 6*31IV Mewtwo, then yes, you'll sit there for ages. But usually you just wanna go for 31 in HP, Attack/Special-Attack, Speed. The defensive Stats as high as possible, but no one gives a fuck if your Def/SpD is just 25 or 31, as long as it's reasonably high.
