What format are you using these pokemon in? If it's doubles then I would suggest a Special Tank kind of set for Goodra with Protect and 3 coverage moves. If you are going to follow my advice I'd also use Sap Sipper to safely switch out Politoed from predicted grass moves.

It's built to work for both singles and doubles, but mostly singles. I have Ludicolo acting as a bulky Sweeper (Bold nature + Assault Vest) along with the SD/Roost variant of M-Scizor, so all it does is act as a source of rain with better recovery and a better ability to soak damage, as well as maybe inflict Toxic if I go that way. It doesn't need to act as a bulky sweeper, I've got two 'mons doing that already, plus two fast special sweepers.

I was thinking about taking Glare and/or Surf off for Dark Pulse and Volt Switch, or maybe Grass Knot.
