I still remember when Pokemon had its 10th Anniversary.
The reveal of Mega Pikachu, which has 770 BST and completely custom move animations, is the only Pokemon who can follow you in-game, doesn't need a megastone to mega evolve, and has Levitate.
Raichu is simply removed from the series entirely.

The release strategy seems pretty logical, they'll release the virtual console titles to get all the nostalgia3ds fags back into it, then pokémon go will make people want to pick up a 3ds who have a smartphone(virtually everybody by now) then finally they'll release BlackZ/WhiteZ, featuring compatability with Pokemon Go, Gen 1 starters, the return of N, and Mega Flygon, and a post game visit to the battle tower (as this game takes place 2 years after X/Y and lines up with B2W2) thereby massively increasing their install base from all the hype.

February 22nd will see the release of the Mew Box, March 16th is Celebi, April 13th is Jirachi, May 18th is Darkrai, June 15th is Manaphy, July 13th is Shaymin, August 17th is Arceus, September 14th is Victini, October 12th is Keldeo, November 16th is Genesect, and December 7th (over a year from now!) is Meloetta. Each box will cost $12.99.
