Here's what I don't understand senpai: We as pokemon fans have at very least come the consensus that while Pokemon the Series has great potential, Gamefreak always comes up short in one way or another. So my question is, why not just make a perfect game? We know what we like and what's lacking. Just make a game without an outlandish story, with a couple of interesting characters, and couple of nice aesthetic features and a solid postgame. Any game designers out there wondering the same thing? All this being said, what roms come the closest to delivering the best pokemon experience. I think HGSS would probably take the cake in the main series.

So would it be perfect with more trainers and better leveling? This is my point. I'm not saying it's perfect but we should criticize where it isn't perfect and improve upon until we get a near perfect result.

Okay let's take an example like Chrono Trigger. It's a JRPG that plays things right down the middle to the very end and is hailed in high regard because of it. Do you think that pokemon is really that polarizing that finding some middleground would be impossible?
