Remember when variety meant different moves for every type? What's with all the clone moves we have today? Most types feels the same now.

not every pokemon gets every move, even if they are that type.
There are about 8 ice type lines (not individual pokemon, lines) that don't get ice shard. Avalugg, Beartic and Kyurem are relevant ones that don't have it, shit I think avalugg might even bump up a tier if it did.
Same with mach punch and fighting types, the amount that DON'T get it is silly.
Same with bullet punch.
Same with aqua jet.
Same with shadow sneak.
More moves but limited distributions. Funny that the only moves that are seen on nearly fucking everything are the older moves like thunderbolt and earthquake. Big variety.

And why them exclusively? Braviary has the same body type as staraptor but with more muscle andmore freedomand doesn't learn it
